im thinking ones up to 10-12 chapters max, but like 2 or 3 chap ones are good too. ive been on a real kick of reading short stories thatll stomp on your heart so sad ones are appreciated but really adorable slice of life is good too.
ymz is one of my favorite authors for instance, the stories are short but really good. they can be sad or happy, or both and work within only a few chapters.

like miscommunication is such an overused trope and its annoying, whatever we all agree on that but its a real ass thing that happens!! and when authors actually GIVE a reason for the miscommunication (take the bbgirl in my pfp for example, hes so insecure bc ash is his first real relationship + literally 0 social skills) it makes sense and is more realistic than other weirdass shit authors pull. ESPECIALLY WHEN THESE CHARACTERS ARE FUCKING TEENAGERS. WHOLE TEENAGERS IN HIGHSCHOOL. do yall not remember how shitty that time was????

YES OMG everyone is so quick to hate and judge a character forgetting that people are literally supposed to be complex and have different personalities!!
