There was such a great background story but once again the author chose to Speedrun the interesting part so that the couple gets official and they can fuck. Yay.

I'm disappointed, I was really interested in the monsters and geopolitical situation, the author dropped a bomb (Gon and oni possibly being mutated espers) then dropped it altogether lol. Here bad guy's been neutralized, love story love story squeals in genZ time. Fuuuuck that sucks.
Too bad this was just a short porn, it had potential and I was really curious about the protagonists ' circumstances and this whole world situation...

I think it was originally supposed to be a short story thats why authornim didn't enter in the details (it would have been peak tho)
I still couldn t rate it 5* but I really loved it, I love the protagonists interactions, they're so perfect that it feels unnatural but their struggles balance it quite well. Very human emotions and stupid reactions to it.
The thing that really bothers me though is the pace.
These guys lived for +3 thousand years yet aaaaaaall of this happened in less than a month, it makes it hard to take it seriously.
Oh, and one sentence managed to kind of ruin the context...
Since chapter one they were introduced as some kind of transcendant beings who mysteriously lived for centuries (I would have loved to learn more about that btw) but when Hermes reveals to Achilles that they re the same, Achilles asks him how it happened and Hermes replies that he "just woke up in this world" meaning these dudes actually got isekaied in real world.
This was clumsy and unnecessary, it just popped up more unanswered questions.
But it seems that this is what people want nowadays, so if it sells well, the authors/editors can t be wrong.
I still find it too much anyway. the plot was light but interesting and realistic because yea, people lie. People lie all the time, sometimes without even meaning to and while asking not to be lied to, but that's what humans do, and the characters reactions to the lies are also credible.
Well without all the sex the story might have been 35% shorter so I suppose that's also a reason lol

It hurt so much to see her body literally evaporating everytime she appeared, she was in a terrible state when she died... I couldn't see my grandmother when she was diagnosed with cancer, and I was kept in the dark for everything else too, I don't know if she's been buried or where, and the adults were busy fighting over the inheritance, 17yo me couldn't do or learn shit back then. This kinda touched me more than necessary ...
I'm glad the author didn't throw this kind of shit at Kim Dan, the poor man had a long journey and at least, he was able to see her go peacefully.
Anyway, I still don't understand neither the hype nor the hatred on this manwha. It was not bad, the characters grew up and changed a lot, the bad guys got fucked, the pace was great and the art was gorgeous. A pretty good read altogether.
The characters are hilarious, the story was cute and interesting though it kinda dragged on at some point. I hope we'll get to see them older, yugun healthier and Ian s mom having moved on for good.whado is fun too but his sights on chorong seem to be too superficial, and yugun s parents are a better help for her at the moment... but it would be nice for her if she could meet someone and definitely let her son live as he wants, and she deserves to be happy.
Even the side characters were cute and funny, this whole book was a fresh breeze in a hot summer day.

I started and dropped this at the first awful translation, was happy to see official chapters but
-Well it was not that good anyways, the transition between every chapters is more brutal and nonsensical as time passes-
But I really didn't expect to be cut off this way in the middle of everything. As it got messier, I came to hope to finish it quickly and be done with it, disappointed but done.
Now I'm disappointed, frustrated and still not done...

(Officials mixed with scanlation going back several chapters for one or the other version resulting in double series of updates in the middle of the reading? Hell what does that even mean... Well it looks like a mess in the list of chapters, so is ti the same while you read?)
