Mix of yangilwoo & pibada :3
She's finally free
It hurt so much to see her body literally evaporating everytime she appeared, she was in a terrible state when she died... I couldn't see my grandmother when she was diagnosed with cancer, and I was kept in the dark for everything else too, I don't know if she's been buried or where, and the adults were busy fighting over the inheritance, 17yo me couldn't do or learn shit back then. This kinda touched me more than necessary ...
I'm glad the author didn't throw this kind of shit at Kim Dan, the poor man had a long journey and at least, he was able to see her go peacefully.
Anyway, I still don't understand neither the hype nor the hatred on this manwha. It was not bad, the characters grew up and changed a lot, the bad guys got fucked, the pace was great and the art was gorgeous. A pretty good read altogether.
The characters are hilarious, the story was cute and interesting though it kinda dragged on at some point. I hope we'll get to see them older, yugun healthier and Ian s mom having moved on for good.whado is fun too but his sights on chorong seem to be too superficial, and yugun s parents are a better help for her at the moment... but it would be nice for her if she could meet someone and definitely let her son live as he wants, and she deserves to be happy.
Even the side characters were cute and funny, this whole book was a fresh breeze in a hot summer day.
I thought this was completed, did I see wrong???
... Well I obviously did lol. But how?
I started and dropped this at the first awful translation, was happy to see official chapters but
-Well it was not that good anyways, the transition between every chapters is more brutal and nonsensical as time passes-
But I really didn't expect to be cut off this way in the middle of everything. As it got messier, I came to hope to finish it quickly and be done with it, disappointed but done.
Now I'm disappointed, frustrated and still not done...
... (╯︶Д ︶)╯╧╧
I can understand the author wanted to continue a story whose protagonists they're attached to, but wtf is going on here?
This is rushed af and confusing are they even the same characters? It feels like half of every chapters are missing and that the author doesn't really know what they re doing, almost as if they were forced to create a new season even though they ended the story in their mind and heart...
I might be extrapolating because there are just a few chapters but they aren't well written for a continuation, it doesn't really makes me want to keep reading... The pace sucks.
"It's all pink and joy in this already done and ended story that you guys all loved so much but BAM this happens SUDDENLY THIS happens as well and BANG in your face looks how THIS shit is happening RATATATA how about this shit huh???"
I feel personally attacked lol. As if I was just living my life normally and the room suddenly turns pitch black and several people are kicking me from every directions.
Not sure about this "new season". Let's see where it's going but...mh. let's just see
Does anyone know if mangago just gave up?
My lists were slowly getting fixed for a few days then it suddenly stopped, my want to read list is blocked at around 30%, my reading list never came back and my already read... Idek since I kept on reading (and rereading) stuff and I didn't really check how it was before that huge incident...
With the lists wiped out, I'm having a hard time finding something to read tonight, you guys got random recommendations that I unexpectedly wouldn't have already read or a long time ago and would enjoy?
I love bl comedy and horror
Oh wow I often feel conflicted after reading stories because of some forsaken elements or authors' clumsiness, but shit, this one is another level of frustration!
Ok first, gotta complain: the art is not really good, which kinda sucks.
2nd, this story was more complicated than complex, the rythm was chaotic and the two together made it hard to enjoy the story.
And last but not least, it IS badly written, character wise.
Let me develop before other readers trash me even though they will anyway:
The author was so focused on the protagonists, and there were so many of them, that they incorporated the background characters not as humans but as items. The memory thing certainly explained how the protagonists lived the way they did, but their whole entourage wasn't written as humans but as items that don't think and live, but just go with the flow of the on going situation.
( For example let's take Yisin's parents. They were never his parents since the dude is actually thrice their age yet the story shows them as just his(bad, bad!!! Bombastic side eyes!)parents at the very moment in the situations where they appeared. They literally never birthed him, raised him, and see him grow but they were his (bad bad bad!!!) parents in a few panels because the story needed to confuse the reader for the in coming twist)
So like I said, the background characters weren't written as actual humans but just convenient items at the moment.
Since I was very intrigued by the story I did notice these kinds of problems but at this point, it's most likely I'm just being an annoying bitch, yet it did bother me and lowered my appreciation.
Alright, now that I'm done complaining;
The two stories were actually interesting, and the way they merged too!
I was really immersed in the cannibal cult plot, my interest kinda froze when super human experimental boys popped out of nowhere and got curious again when the two parallel plots started to merge, so the whole thing was pretty satisfying.
I think more work could have been done to make it less confusing, smoother, but it wasn't that bad. The end (the cult plot's ending*) wasn't rushed to just focus on a little happy ending romance and these crazy ass anthropophages lot dying together felt right.
The romance... Meh.
I mean, I still don't understand the protagonists powers so it kinda feels incomplete and um, conveniently patched up just to put these two together at the end, so I'm not even interested in their couple.
I almost dropped it at chapter 1, seriously shoving a nameless erased dick in a nameless upside down mouth is not the best way to get to me, especially when you have so much to tell, it started pretty badly.
Now I'm kinda looking forward to the next season?
I LUV BEEFY BOTTOMS
First, I really need to say it, I'm not okay with this art style. Their heads have the proportions of kids' and their faces look waaaay too young, which made the whole thing unpleasant to watch.
Also once again too many useless sex scenes, and the art style made them gross. They're not just pointless but they even ruin the immersion.
Nothing important happen in these sex scenes, and the censorship is just like some random stranger barging in your house screaming "HEEEEEEY! YOU RE READING A BOOOOOOK!!!"
Okay thank you I know this but did it have to have huge eraser holes in the middle of the drawing for scenes that sometimes are several chapters long? If I'm not supposed to watch this, why draw it at all?
The characters are quite boring (not the sister, I love the sister and she didn't have enough screentime srsly) and that flashback scene at the end to imply the so cliche and random ass reunion that only one of the protagonist remember and saved him back then was so out of character...
Also the whole story was bad because ba da actually didn't have any reason to be that way, he doesn't seem to be autistic, grew up in a normal environment with a very basic and normal entourage,
So him being so out of it regarding feelings related to love just came out of nowhere, and makes it hard to take him seriously, he just looks annoying like wtf is wrong with you? Did you forget your brain in the author's drawer?
Some scenes were funny but it was not a good story.
I can't say that everything suited my tastes here but the grandfather x Taesun relationship was so sweet, so endearing, and the grandfather's death was so poetic it almost (?) made it harder to accept, I literally cried my eyes out... And cried again when he reappeared at the end.
Thanks to this I could make peace with the interspecies sex and the man POOPING EGGS ffs. Well that's why I kept reading, I was really curious about how the birth was going to be and... Mh. I already said this many times but thanks God yaoi men don't shit, it never applied more than now.
I'm still curious about the snake species, it seemed to be a constrictor but constrictors are viviparous, the vertical pupils and eggs would indicate something like a (giant) viper but these are venomous, and nothing in the story implied it... Am I thinking too much?
Anyway I loved this story, it was very sweet.
And there was just... 35 chapters of sex lol.
This is just toxic empty rape porn with some kind of something floating in the background but never explained or developed.
Even though the hypnosis part was utter bullshit, I still forced my suspension of disbelief to accept it, to see where it was going.
...
In the butt. This is where it's going.
Nowhere else.
Not a single chapter sex free out of 35 chapters.
NOT. A. SINGLE. ONE.
Even the very first chapter HAD to end with a hairless dick just in case us brainless perverts wouldn't keep going.
I feel insulted.
The art was ok, and truly wasted on this shit.
This was bad?!
Like really, REALLY ! BAD !
It started pretty good and seemed to have something to say about bullying, homophobia and also that dumb thing kids do, you know... Meddling in adults' business and involving innocent kids
"Uwahhh your dad is a shit he did that to my dad so you re a shit too" I really wanna slap all of them brainless midgets
.... But no.
These things just happened but there was no morales, no lessons, no conclusions,
let's do porn instead!!! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
And everything just jumps from one thing to another without any purpose and they re adult so they fuck, do a thing then fuck then the end, go somewhere then fuck then the end, speak about something then fuck then the end, meet someone then fuck then the end, have a flashback then fuck then the end... It just look like a lame joke at this point then it's the end of the story and nothing really happened and nothing was really resolved but they sure fucked a lot.
Actually, everything happened for nothing.
Huh, Soowha's glasses that literally triggered the whole story by including him in the group but never showed up again?
At the end even the artist gave up and literally forgot to draw stuff like mehh, doesn't matter they gonna fuck soon anyways.
I didn't expect it to be THAT bad.
Honestly took down 1* only because of this. Where da heck did granny go??? There was no more real drama so it was okay to just erase her from their daily lives??? Wtf!
It was a good story though, I may be biased but I kinda can relate with the protagonist s situation.
Oh but nobody died in my case I've just been forsaken, erased from everyone's life and memories. I was just a happening, and no one ever loved nor hated me enough to remember that I was ever part of their lives/family. My memories are mine only and there's nobody I share them with because they were only important to me.
Not gonna lie, yeonwoo often irked me with his reactions... Then I realized he's just a kid and his reactions were pretty legit for a 20 yo child, I've come to peace with this reality only because I'm way older than him.
And at least my dogs loved me unconditionally their whole lives, they re the only memory I cherish now and will until my last breath.
Oh but if I become a ghost the other memories will take over and get ready for some real traumatic shit, you sorry excuses of humans (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
ANYWAY!
Maybe the author relied a bit too much on the memory loss trope, sticking it to every important character (yeonwoo's felt forced) but it kinda worked because of the suicide attempt method, I still think it was pretty clumsy and unnecessarily important though.
I guess the appreciation of this story will greatly vary depending the ages and situations of the readers... But I liked it.
Also where do these boys get all that money from? Were seongwoon's parents rich or something?
My dog did this exact same thing... With the drains and sewers in the street lol... All his life. He d froze in front of it and stare for a few seconds then bunny hop to avoid any of his paws making contact, then proudly waltz with his head and tail high until the next one (literally 5 meters away).
Strolls were a pain in the ass lol.
Also, absolutely EVERYTHING in here is hilarious.
So please you saints carrying and spreading around the holy political truth just shut up now.
There is no pedophilia in here.
Just a very young kid crushing on an adult and doing shit a very young kid idolising an adult would do.
And that very same adult making lame jokes like any adult would make lame jokes about a very young kid worshipping them.
There is no homophobia in here.
Just an old alcoholic rough man interacting with a younger gay man that he knows very well, talking crudely like alcoholic rough around the edges old men talk to their friends.
There is no transphobia in here.
The man himself doesn't delude himself and knows and accept that he's a man even though he takes pleasure talking about himself as a young maiden. I'm the fucking exact same.
I'd sell my soul and all of yours to Belzébuth to be reborn as a man, I talk about myself independently of my gender and FFS I'm french, in french even inanimate objects have a gender!!! but I'm neither trans nor non binary or whatever the fck you delusional kids want to call it because I just don't give a flying fuck. I'm a woman because my sexual chromosomes are XX and even though I'm very unhappy with my genetic, I have no rights nor interest in imposing other people my delusions so you seriously gotta stop with this bullshit.
Transpeople would live better lives if your fucked up ideology didn't bring them to think that other people have to comply with any weird shit their brains make up.
The whole book is hilarious and your holy bullcrap has no place in here, real life is not twitter.
