At this point what is even going on in the manhwa?? I feel like we have officially lost the plot, because why is the sister still having power over the MC and why is the dad still relevant? Also what was the point of the entire familial trials to become head of the family if she didnt gain any power at all??? And why is everyone is this fucking mess of a story so shady

    Laurel May 24, 2026 3:20 pm

Calling this manhua a mess would be anak understatement. The ML is not ML-ing. Instead of helping hes one another problem. The trial took so fucking long and has nothing to do with mental or skill building, a leader trial supposed to be. Mc just need to glaze hard to the the other head of family, which is what the hell.

No because frrr dude, the ML is just confusing?? One time he is extending her olive branches and asking her to exert power, and the next he is chewing her out for even mentioning the royalty- LIKE DOES THE ROYALTY HAVE HIS BALLS LOCKED INSIDE HELL'S 4TH LEVEL OR WHAT?? WHY IS HE THEIR LAPDOG

I know yall see me in this comment section too many times but I can't help it, this BL is just too good

I absolutely love the way pieces keep clicking on every reread!! Like I lost count how many times I read this but omg- The way since the first chapter its been established that not a lot of people see Seo Jinwoo as a human being and him ending up trying his self worth to his pieces?! The fact that the start and the end have the same note, like it ends with Colton assuring Jinwoo that he has never seen him for his pieces and instead has always seen him for himself. Like since the start you can see how during all their interactions, he never once strays from Jinwoo's actually character despite managing so many of his pieces. Like Jinwoo thinks Colton is working with him for his skill and pottery, but the way Colton has never once really cared much for Jinwoo's pottery in the sense of it being Jinwoo's defining feature!!! And I love that though Colton isn't like others and actually sees Jinwoo for himself, doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate Jinwoo's artwork. Especially when it has so deeply affected him, because the entire reason he went into his line of work was at the end of the day because of Jinwoo!

GOD I HOPE I MAKE SOME SENSE-

Am I the only one who genuinely feels so bad for the prince? Like to me he feels like a bigger victim than FL was. Like FL lost her life, yes I agree that is shifty, but she was only betrayed by the king. The prince on the other hand never felt the warmth of family, his own knight only ever became closer because of his revenge. The duke he admired and thought supported him, majorly did so for his own revenge plans. More so no one actually treats him like a person, he is always a prince or always a child, which is why he can never know what the others are thinking. I can't even imagine how betrayed he must feel, knowing no one was ever genuinely on his side, everyone had their own agenda. And I hate the fact that his feelings are always trampled upon, like give the man a break he is but a youngster who is experiencing love and other feelings.

hey Hey HEEYYYY January 4, 2026 4:28 am

This was why I was genuinely rooting for the prince to be the ML at the start. He needs someone smart, strong, and emotionally mature like the FL to help him fix what his stupid parents ruined.

At the same time tho, I'm lowkey happy she didn't end up with the prince because of what happened to her. It's mixed feelings for me

Honestly I didn't want him to end up with FL obviously, because I genuinely don't want FL to go through that again
But I just wished that everyone around him stopped treating his feelings like trash and that it doesn't matter because he is just a pawn. Like that kid went through so much shit as well and the FL's friends basically never actually helped him emotionally and gave him more trauma at the end by betraying him. Like that kid could NOT catch a break

I am aware that the age gap is quite large in this manhwa, and to make matters worse they met when Shuraka was a child. However if you read the chapters you can clearly see that there was no sexual intentions from either side when Shuraka was a child, more so MC seems to actually hold parent-like affection during that time. Shuraka is the one who harbours romantic interest since the start.
Also clearly there is no sexual acts AT ALL. Some people need to realise that not all romance is sexual. Their dynamic when they met at first seemed very platonically romantic. They care deeply for each other but there's no romantic action between them that crosses the line to pedophilia.
Also I am pretty sure their entire romance is based on when they are both adults.

this is a well written explanation for those who still view this manhwa as problematic or concerning and additionally Tei was not fully aware that the arranged marriage will involve a child, and yeah I agree that their meeting before was only a filler (backstory) for the story to progress and their romance will blossom more in their adult years.

MC does not love her sister in a romantic manner. She just didn't know how to differentiate between the feelings since she's never known any other form of love, and her sister was the only one she had ever loved. Considering their background, MC probably got too reliant and attached and mistook that dependence on an older figure, as romantic interest. But when FL enters the picture and she experiences true romantic feelings for the first time, she is able to finally realise what she felt for her sister.

She's such a cutie!!! Also I hope she gets more friends who treat her the way she deserves to be treated, because she is SO POOKIE OMG

Ur_bisexual_bich April 21, 2025 11:06 am

I don't get it
Let me point out several things that stand out like a sore thumb to me:
1. Why is the mc so obsessed with protecting the prince when clearly he is someone who doesn't remotely have their shit together??
2. The prince is supposed to be a person who's dignified and educated enough to know what to do in times of distress or at least have vassals who can help out in a positive manner, but this guy doesn't seem to be able to differentiate that.
3. The prince's vassals all seem like pieces of shits who indulge the prince's every whim and it's not the right thing to do because in the recent chapter we can clearly see how it has turned out.
4. Why is the story always revolving around the prince and never the FL actually growing. The story basically showed a few chapters and went "OH here you go your overpowered FL who has healed from everything".

I think *maybe* they're both disillusioned. I'm probably wrong, but that's what it seems to me.

What I mean is that FL sees the potential and the capability of the prince as king.

The problem is that the moment FL is no longer at his side as his fiance, he has no potential or capability.

Both the prince and the FL don't recognize that FL is what made the prince "kingly".

By indulging in his whims and being with the other fanciful, clumsy girl and abandoning his former fiance and childhood friend, he has become useless.

Again, I'm probably wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.

Dude MC was betrayed by her boyfriend and the entire team and left to die.
Inside the dungeon it was clear that time worked differently, and she died hundreds and thousands of time over and over again, that too one of the most painful deaths. She was literally eaten to death. Imagine the feeling of flesh and nerves being ripped out of you all while you don't even die.
It's enough to drive anyone crazy. The fact she has retained this much sanity is something commendable. I feel like a lot of y'all are so used to mcs dying and coming back as if nothing happened, that's not how the human brain works. If you die and that too over and over it is bound to break all your logical senses.
And even though Nara wasn't the one who directly betrayed her, she didn't try to stop the way the rest of the party treated her either.
Combining all these factors, the fact that MC even let Nara live and acts decently with her is a big deal.

I honestly feel like gender may also have something to do with it. A lot of us are used to male MCs s treating the people around them like shit/threatening them/forcing them to cooperate via fear (at least in the beginning) and most people won't bat an eye, or are more willing to ignore it (not always, like I have gotten p tired of that trope and I often leave action series midway (though there's many reasons for that)). I'm definitely looking past our FMC's actions and attitude partly because this is not uncommon for a story in the action genre, and partly because storywise it makes sense.

And yeah, I gotta admit, it feels satisfying to have a female character be batshit insane. Not for the love of a man/person in a yandere sense, just mad in general. It's satisfying to see her go from a timid abuse victim to be able to show aggression and actually kill her abuser. Is it morally right? Meh. It's a story and it's interesting so far.

i was gonna say why are ppl saying "she should be nicer :/" when male mc's are allowed to treat everyone around them like shit and readers applaud them for it there's definitely a gender bias going on

I am genuinely trying to empathise with Anceline and the other people who came as Ambassadors from that other Kingdom, but it's so hard to do so when they make sure to make their personal problems the problems of everyone else
Like I am sorry you have been walking on eggshells all your life, but that doesn't give you the right to throw your shit at others who aren't responsible for your hurt. It's especially shitty since apparently she's supposed to be smarter than others.

Ur_bisexual_bich February 17, 2025 10:20 am

Finally the mc is separating Oleg from that shitty father. I'm glad she understood that even Oleg was a victim and they aren't all that different!!
Hope this continues and Oleg ends up mending his ways
