This definitely has very similar personalities to Guildmate next door, but when I read this I start to realize Guildmate Next Door is a bit bland...
Guildmate a lot of enjoyment is made up by the humor, having a really entertaining cast, and making the characters appeal through cute aspects. But besides that the main characters personalities are pretty one note now that I think about it.. jigu is paranoid, and yeowoon is just weird. And to each other most of the time they just say wow he's acting adorable.
But here Suho and Jungwoo have more multi facets to them. Their romance was so natural and I was surprised it had so much substance. The polar opposite personalities isn't new but it's highlighted in so many different ways and in little things sometimes - like energy levels, relationship needs, lifestyle choices, their clothing choices and they really worked to come to terms of that with each other, and feel complete together. It's really crazy because at the beginning you really feel like, man these two shouldn't enjoy being together, and from Jungwoo's side it's reflected! I think also, how much development they get outside of the game helps so much as nowadays a lot of the gaming bl's it's all just through the game. It makes for a cute story and easier to draw, but it's so refreshing to me when it's treated as just one aspect of yourself and how you are outside of it is a different facet!

i was just going yo write a similar comment! After reading this, the chemistry between Jigu and yeowoon is practically absent in comparison to Jungwoo and Suho. The charm of GND was really the video game aspect, but even at the end I jins off only felt like the bond between the leads was kind if platonic? esp on Yeowoon’s part. It just didn’t feel like he really liked Jigu romantically. maybe i’d feel differently if i read the novel. that being said, I wish s2 of carrying my noob waifu was a little more drawn out bc it felt like the author was trying to squeeze in a ton in just 10 chapters whereas the beginning of the manhwa was really well paced. I would have loved to see their relationship issues more drawn out and explored Jungwoo’s personality a bit more tbh

I thought GND was cutesy, but mostly bland.
It didn't quite have the sweetness of Netkama, or the humour of Nakama Sashi Off.
I wish when turning back time it had explored how Daniel wrapped things up this time. But I'm happy to see the good end! I just really adored Martin's character and strength, and wanted to see him resolve the struggles together. So it sadly this felt a bit one sided. I also really like Daniel's character and this take on a vampire, really feels inhumanely. I love that his horrible character remains and doesn't change to be all super lovey dovey to his children
And we didn't see it but in theory Lisa should've survived too. I really wanted to see the annoying wolves wiped out though.

I read Bad Apple before this so I was quite surprised to see Uno lol. Honestly I feel like his character is a lot better in this one but he's younger than most of the cast so it's all making sense why he's more of an asshole in Bad Apple
Cute story but I just try to ignore some of the spy aspects because it was a little nonsensical in this one (it seems much more well done in Bad Apple)

50 chapters in and like no progress... I did adore the art and I think the author has a great sense to capture nuanced expressions and details but I was sad that was not reflected in the plot.
It's funny the seme was self conscious because this is first time I think I've seen a bl character look so pretty going to the army lol
