If you are too young or didn't read carefully the manga ask. They were living together for many years, but they were not in a relationship. The seme loved him and they had sex some times but the uke was drown in self-pity and the feelings he had for his brother, so he was unable to have a normal relationship, or even live normally, have a job etc. When he was shocked by the woman he realized what is happening. Sex with seme stopped to be a casual thing for him. He realized that he had to resolve things with his family, let go of his brother and find a proper job so he can have a normal life (and a proper relationship). His biggest problem was that he was hating himself. The seme pushed him to the right direction (and was very patient all these years).

Well if you checked the prequel you would have seen the line of Aoi telling "I have been also with men" when he is talking to his brother lover. Both of them had sex with other partners in these 12 years, males and females. Both of them did not commit to a serious relationship due to their longing (seme for uke, uke for brother). Seme's was a healthy one, but of course he would not condemn his life if the uke was totally self-destructive. And he tried to inform the uke about the woman but he was outside the house with no phone. Up to now they had a mutual condition (if you read carefully) "the one does not mess with personal affairs of the other". So they had a roommate approach (we do things with others just inform ahead). The seme did not do it per se to shock the uke. But the truth is that it was a good starting point. The uke realized that he wanted the seme and they became lovers. Oh and on a general note. If I like you and your response is "nothing more than sex friends" sorry but I have every right to a) have more sex friends, casual sex is not commitment b) try to check if I can fall in love with someone else. Patience is not unlimited, and someone can not wait forever alone if the other who uses them for sex or comfort but is not willing to commit maybe sometime will change his mind. And maybe it is hard or you are still in love for quite some time and cannot get over someone but it is ok to try if the other person uses you and do no return your feelings. That seme was 100% a gentleman. He was housing, feeding and providing a love interest that was not in love with him. He even gave sentimental support. But sorry, he would not live for the times the uke felt having sex after speaking of wanting to be embraced by his brother and not having other physical relationships.

I agree with you. The uke and seme had a clear understanding of their relationship. So the seme was not in the wrong at all. There's all types of relationships, i think they were closer to an open relationship.

Interesting take. Im 36 and I am saying this to tell you I have had many years of being a working adult and the lines are never black and white. The grey also has gradients. No judgement on your intelligence, just a personal opinion. I also don't agree with the multiple partners but not having what the heart wants can also make you yearn for something to replace the emptiness. Rebound flings/relationships don't always collapse but sometimes they don't go further than a point. Of course, communication is key and I think the alluding to a circumstance is the biggest issue, especially when you are a reader. But that's the artist's call.
