Not gonna lie, chapter 56 really had me in my feels. Just like Jihan I was so upset and mad at Yoochae. Like, why would he do that? Why couldn't he just tell the truth? The fact that he did all of that to deceive him really made me so frustrated. I could just feel the betrayal like Jihan must have.
I'm glad that they showed that Yoochae struggles with mental illness, and while that isn't an excuse for the deceiving behavior, it helped. The snowball effect is so real when things quickly spiral out of control, and the longer you wait, the harder it gets to come clean. But the fact of the matter is that he did lie, and I like that Jihan held him accountable for his actions and didn't give in right away. He also didn't hold out for too long and make it a horrible timeskip fiasco.
I really just want for them to be happy, learn to trust one another, and feel comfortable together. I hope we get more of them gaming together, I miss those early chapters.

I finished reading it just now. Here are my thoughts:
I liked it. The art is great, the characters go through changes and don't stay static, and there was a happy ending. Some emotional parts where you just want everyone to be happy. Vague spoilers below, beware!
I can see why people may say that it was bad because of how toxic the male lead was at first. However, from an objective stance they misunderstood each other at the beginning. The ML needed someone to help him with his jinx and the MC just so happened to come when he called. The ML thought that the MC was just in it for the money, he thought that he had experience and was just as trashy as the other men he had previously had relations with. The ML DIDNT KNOW the MC had no experience, was struggling financially due to massive debt, and is actually a good guy because of miscommunication. And objectively, the MC did agree to the terms of the job to sell his body for $14k, so the ML would just see this as a mutual give and take (but he does act like a dick with how he is cold, blunt, and makes cruel remarks).
Yes, the ML was an asshole, but he was redeemed in my eyes in the later half. After he learned the truth of things, he did help to try and fix them with a BS excuse of "it's for me in the end" although you can tell he lowkey pities the MC bc he can relate. Yes, he was very blunt and a jerk to EVERYONE doing some very asshole-ish things and with a bad attitude. And yes, there is the trope of realizing what you have after you have lost it, but he does self reflect on his actions and takes accountability. He does apologize. And he does change the way he treats him, but sometimes slips up (which is realistic bc people don't change immediately). and SPOILER....... but I also feel bad about his past where all of the adults failed him other than the few that showed him kindness. It doesn't excuse his behavior, but he was in fight or flight without ever TRULY learning how to take it slow, relax, create meaningful relationships, etc.
TLDR: it was well written. Not the worst seme I have seen, actually redeemable. Great art. This is my opinion

Although he is a physical therapist, handsome, and was raised by his grandma, he has his own trauma and insecurities that we see slowly build up throughout the story until it comes to a climax. We see his struggles with mental health and alcohol (which was also hinted at in the beginning), which is realistic considering what he has been through and that his only family is on the verge of death.
Although he is meek, he is not pathetic like some ukes I have seen in other stories. He does his best to do his part, and tries to remain positive. He does try and stick up for himself at points even with his passive personality and can be pretty stubborn, which I like. I also feel like the poor guy has a lot of bad things happen to him and he can't catch a break at points, but I'm a sadist and I like that as well. But there are sweet moments between them too which feeds us before more suffering comes.
TLDR: I like the uke too, he is very cute and best boy.
I dropped at chapter 40 before it was completed. Should I pick this back up? Is it worth reading?
I just really hate seeing Jing being taken advantage of, SA'd, and having his body forcefully changed just is NOT appealing to me. It pisses me off. Does it get better?

I'm not big on incest, so it's better that they weren't related... but he still raised that child for 10 years. And then the seme has the nerve to not listen to the one who raised him and force his whims on him. Nah, I'd beat his ass.
Yo, when he was staring at the "TV" he was looking at us! He could sense that we were reading the story and looked at us twice, and even left us the note. That is too cool! I am so glad that they escaped the constraints of the master system and are allowed to play out their own story and FINALLY have a happy ever after. I am going to go read it from the beginning now.

This is so painful. I made it to chapter 16 and their miscommunication is just killing me. I decide, oh, let me jump around. Surely it gets better, right? Wrong. Wdym they are still having misunderstandings 20+ chapters later (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ over YEARS. These two are never on the same page. Hell, not even in the same book. For god's sake, no, for OUR sake, open your damn mouths and explain yourself! There is nothing embarrassing about speaking your mind. You know what is embarrassing? Miscommunicating and misunderstanding each other for years
Imma let this marinate and come back in 20 chapters. hopefully they clear the air by then ;-;
I think that the brother is the real snake. He must have done something in the past that made the ML misunderstand the MC. Bro said that he had powers too, so that must be it. He also must have his memories of the past life and know that the ML is out for "revenge" so that he can also die. Bro's behavior is so creepy with him jerking it in the MC's face while he was sleeping (in the present). I'm sure that he did much worse things to him in the past.
On another note, something tells me that the MC is going to fall deeply in love with the ML, he's going to remember his past, and then he is going to tell the ML that it's okay to kill him-- that it is the price he is willing to pay, or some shit, for all of the pain that he had to endure these last 200 years. I mean, the MC did say that he wanted to die already, and dying for the one you love doesn't seem too bad. But then something like the ML can't go through with it, yadda yadda. Idk, but I am looking forward to the next chapters.

If that actually happens, that would be some crazy shii. I feel like that is the most likely route. Otherwise it is going to happen something like: the MC falls in love with the MC, his memories come back & he realizes that the ML's true purpose is to get revenge on him. MC is scared, he goes to his brother for help, and probably has some spotty memories so he doesn't realize that his brother was the one who set him up in the first place. Then, the brother uses the MC as a hostage or something to force the ML's hand-- whether it is out of love or bc he needs to kill the MC is unclear.
Idk ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I hope whatever it is, that it is fun and exciting to read. Though I can feel hella angst brewing.
