Contrary to major readers opinion I actually like the novel :( . Everytime I saw the low rate ppl left for the novel I feel sad I dont have someone to hype this story with lol. Yeah Jing was trash but so what? its just fiction after all.
I kept re-read it again and again when I dont know what else to read, esp the scene where Jing cuts his hair so that he can bring Lu Chang home. I do pitty Lu Chang sometimes, and kinda wish the author didnt have to make Jing still accepting concubines. But Lu Chang's love for Jing is genuine, and vuce versa. Both deeply love each other and I think thats so sweet

Yeah I think so too. I just finished the novel and although I love me some crazy toxic mls, I could not believe what Jing did to Lu Cang. He hardly ever repented and his repentance wasn’t even described…just time skipped. I felt so robbed. So much was glossed over and so little pages of them actually loving each other without almost dying vs the vast amount of pages of torture. I feel like Lu can’t wasn’t in a toxic relationship; he was a tortured slave for most of it. And lastly, (sorry I know I’m venting in this random place lol) I hated how every time I thought it can’t get worse, it does and every time I think they’re finally getting along, sh*t hits the fan. I’m spent after reading it

It's insanely frustrating honestly. Like, complete torture to read. But there are some cute moments of the two main characters.
It's very repetitive and we can't tell when it's gonna stop being like that. Our couple barely has any romantic moments together, glasses boy still didn't confess. Just new crazy people keep showing up and that's it
