i think that teach is definitely an unreliable narrator, but not because guwon is innocent, rather he’s unreliable because just like the reader he wanted guwon to be a good person. i doubt that he killed his own father, especially after the flashback. the only things that are still vague about his past at this point are:
1) why did he try to choke guwon twice in his sleep?
2) why was he always visiting hospitals in the past? i think it’s fair to say that guwon is just crazy at this point, although at least his reasons sort of (?) make sense. especially since we have reason to believe he’s not fully human/may have been experimented on.
i’m hoping we get to see guwon’s backstory soon and more of teach’s as well. :3

i don’t think guwon killed MC’s dad, it just seems kinda predictable? MC already feels disgusted by guwon, and if he killed his dad i don’t think he’d be able to forgive him. i think MC killed his dad, either in self defense or for other reasons.
i think it would be interesting is MC was similar to guwon before losing his memories, aka kinda insane and morally gray. at this point in time it seems like MC has lost most of his memories of his time after the outbreak, leaving him a bit naive and innocent.
if guwon does have something to do with MC’s dads death, it would most likely have to be because he was protecting MC, but idk it seems like he didn’t know him before they met, especially when you look back on their first encounter.
another reason he could have killed the dad would be that he has something to do with the way he is now, especially if guwon is the result of some crazy experiment. maybe the dad had a part to play in his creation/made him the way he is now?
honestly this story is crazy and guwon is such a mystery. i really hope that he gets better and becomes more human (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

i knew the town and guwon were messed up in some way but WOW. i definitely get both sides, to the people in town and guwon they think this is the best solution and therefore not morally wrong. however, the MC has some sort of memory loss and therefore isn’t accustomed to this violence, or at least he doesn’t remember it.
it is interesting though that they’ve chosen such a brutal way to execute the death penalty, and i wonder if there’s any symbolism there? it’s also interesting that guwon blames himself and even physically punishes himself, perhaps because he has a savior complex? or past trauma?

overall, this seems really interesting and i can’t wait to see where the author takes this !! (⌒▽⌒) my only prediction is that the MC is somehow going to break a rule and that will cause guwon/the town to reevaluate how important the rules are.

i don’t think mindy was trying to out him, he was just telling him in a really roundabout way that he could if he wanted to. was it the most discrete way? no. but i doubt he was trying to get him to come out, he even says/thinks that he’s just letting him know for the future. there was definitely a better and more discrete way to get that message across, but for a guy that’s probably never been in that situation, i think he did okay :3

PLS PLS PLS LET THIS BE THE SUFFERING ARC ヽ(`Д´)ノ I NEED TO SEE HIM GROVEL AND CRY AND TREAT DAN LIKE A PRINCE. It won’t even make up for half of what he’s done but i’ve just accepted that their relationship is toxic, please just let me see him in pain for at least 20 chapters (▰˘◡˘▰)

btw i’m not saying that their relationship is good, nor should toxic relationships be romanticized. but i’ve put too much time into this story to not finish it even if their relationship is basically unsalvageable

i understand the criticism around what he’s going (especially the r^pe comment, very unnecessary tbh) but from reading the raws i understand WHY he’s being so harsh. not to spoil anything but he has witnessed the cruelty that the government will dish out, and he’s also witnessed the horrors of the Adam’s, two things Dr. Seok has no experience with. he grew up on an island where the Adam’s don’t exist. while i think all of us can easily relate to Dr. Seok and his curiosity, Major Kwak is right, he’s going to get himself killed if he doesn’t stop. is he doing it in the best way? no. but it would be out of character if all of a sudden he was babying him and trying to rationalize with him. he’s obviously a flawed character that’s been deeply traumatized by the world he lives in and thinks that THIS is his only option to save Dr. Seok.

tldr: is this the best way to stop the Dr? not from out standpoint but Major has his reasons and he’s not a bad person for it ( ̄∇ ̄")

not sure if it’s intentional but i think the fact that he lives at the top of all those stairs could be a reference to sisyphus and the hill he has to climb? i’m also interested in how the rock is going to play into the story/symbolism as well !! overall this seems good ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
