I was so surprised how the MC dealt with confession thing after they reunited thinking he got chance with ML knowing he’s straight. He’s so optimistic, and after confessing to ML they’re in a try-hard-to-seduce-me setup and not MC still clinging to a hope that the ML will date him not knowing it was a half assed decision made by ML so they can remain friends. He got his heart hurt several times but that didn’t even make his feelings faltered, it keeps getting stronger the moment ML tries to reciprocate with just bare minimum actions and MC is like on cloud 9. He’s not the brightest person on earth, and I admire his patience for staying with ML clinging to delusion though was always acting pathetic, but in the end they got together.
Also, If you knew “one of your girls” by Troy Sivan, the song somewhat describes MC’s desperate attempts to become likeable to ML
