Why did the dean explicitly ignore his request to have the T.A not be a female just because his niece asked? And not to mention, she's clearly under underqualified for the position. Does she know anything about chemistry? She's a humanities major.
So what if she's humble and quiet and never asks him for favours? What does that have to do with this? I'm sure he could have easily found a qualified male to take the position, but he just handed it to her cuz she asked.
