"The worst she can say is no"

I had my doubts, but I kinda liked the way this was going at first. Now? Not so much.
And I'm not even talking about the female lead's actions or decisions anymore. I'm talking about the way this webtoon is handling these complicated situations. I really thought that Woojin's self-reflection on his approach to dating Seyun would lead to him thinking more before he acts, and taking things slower. Trying to go at her pace, y'know? But the way he just pounced on the first chance to marry her despite clearly seeing her hesitation, and knowing that she was facing a difficult situation when she said all that just proves that he's barely learned anything. Like, I really thought that after that whole speech he was going to say "I don't want you to agree to marry me because you're going through something. I'll wait for you" or at least something along those lines. But nope, the next second we're meeting the parents. WTH dude?
And then he just goes ahead to arrange a meeting with his parents for the next day? Come on, he's not even giving her a chance to take it all in. It almost feels like he's just selfishly dragging her along. Imagine how nerve-wracking this must be to someone who wasn't even considering marriage 1 month ago, much less with the guy she's about to marry.
Then the way her dad seemed to be portrayed as the doting and overprotective father. Even though all the points he brought up were SOLID and I really thought we would finally get a voice of reason, but they just had him throw a drunk fit and called it a day. He wasn't even aware that his wife was setting his daughter up for marriage behind his back. That in and of itself is a problem.
And I'm not even going to get into the problematic mothers of this webtoon. They deserve their own epistle.
Anyway, this whole story is starting to look like the 8-years-ago-backstories of those webtoons where the ML and FL were in an arranged marriage, but they got divorced because they had a lot of issues, but they get back together in the future because now they can form a relationship under healthy circumstances.
I'm sure Woojin is just blindly in love right now, but no matter how much of a good husband he vows to be, no woman should ever be forced or coerced into marriage, especially not when she's so young and inexperienced. He could be the best thing since bluetooth and the marriage will still crumble, because the pressure of moving into a new environment, changing to a new status, getting used to a new lifestyle, and dealing with a whole new web of relationships (his family) is enough to stress her and take a toll on her mentally, and stress is hard enough to deal with when you're willingly going through it, much less when you feel like you've been forced. That kind of situation breeds resentment. Not just for his mom, or his family, but eventually even for him. At least realistically speaking.
Right now, I think the only thing that could salvage this plot progression is if at some point FL breaks off the marriage and tells Woojin the truth about everything, and how she never really wanted to marry him. Then maybe a year or two later, after ML has had some PROPER growth and reflection, they can start over again, and he can clearly tell that snake of a mother that he won't let her interfere in Seyun's life any longer.

What the fuck is pit-a-pat? Is that supposed to be the sound of a heart beat? Why not use the normal ba-dump ba-dump? Is it the sound of a heart skipping a beat? It still doesn't seem right tho. It's beginning to irritate me

I'm genuinely surprised that the author isn't sick of bringing Jihyeok in at this point. He serves no purpose and he's just irritating. Like, please come up with a new way to do whatever he's doing, if anything at all. He just shows up, irritates people and then someone gets rid of him.
And second, I hate this fucking trope of mistaken confessions. All it does is give a nice ML a glimmer of hope just to take it away and make him miserable. That's about it. One could say that it's also used to propel the FL into feeling something for him that she wouldn't have felt with the current state of their relationship, or to make the audience sympathise with the ML, but a better way to achieve these would be to have the ML confess his feelings to the FL, then get rejected. This also allows the audience to relate more to the FL, since she's not the one in the wrong because of a stupid mistake.
I don't mind it all that much when it's used comically, but when it takes a more somber approach like this, it's just annoying.

Another fundamental issue I have with Riftan is how he doesn't speak to Maxi directly when she does something he doesn't like. Like, he enters the room and instead of asking her what she's doing, he asks his knights what she's doing there. I don't know if that's his way of managing his anger so as not to take it out on her directly, but it just ends up looking like he's demeaning her. As if it wasn't her decision to be there.
It just goes to show how much he treats her like a child. Like a naive little baby who can't be held responsible for her own actions.
I'm honestly sick of him right now.

What's the fuck does Yujin mean, "why don't you have one with me?" What kind of joke is that?
Tal'm bout "he loves her like a sister", WHAT KIND OF BROTHER MAKES A JOKE ABOUT HAVING A BABY WITH HIS SISTER?!!!
And buying a dress for your sister-in-law is sort of okay, depending on the norms in your family...BUT BUYING A DRESS FOR YOUR SISTER-IN-LAW WHO YOU USED TO FUCK??? Ain't no way that's not weird.
I hate how the ending is trying to gaslight us into thinking that they're all chill, when that's literally not possible with the dynamic that STILL exists between them. It almost feels like some kind of harem ending

Bro said "she's consenting to this, right?", like he's not literally endorsing human trafficking

My boi just got facially profiled

Not me reading the first chapter and liking it, only to read the second chapter and absolutely hate it.
"Paint"
"No, I can't"
"PAINT"
"No, I won't"
"Fine then. I'll molest you"
........what?

How'd they know she was preggers only after she left?

But both the art, the characters and even the plot really remind me of "Where Are You Running off To?"
Almost everything about it

I really like this story, y'know? It's reaaaally adorable...but the 21st century woman in me is getting irritated. Like, girl, you're going to the house of a guy you barely know, that no one knows you know, and without letting any friends or family know you're going there, when he's home alone? I think my brain is thinking a little too logically to enjoy this
Not to mention, I have a huuuuge pet peeve of guys telling you to cook for them, epecially when you have no responsibility do so. As someone who grew up in a country where society teaches that it's a woman's duty to cook for a man, it's literally a trigger for me
Anyways, it's super cute. Would definitely recommend.

If he's such a popular idol singer that he has to hide from his neighbours, then why would he go out of his way to greet one of them without knowing who it was? Bare faced, no disguise. Nothing?

Am I the only one who thought of that one song by Trey Songz when I heard her name?

This is starting to look like straight up sexual harassment. Like babe, it's enough now.
I get that it's supposed to be funny, but I keep reversing the roles in my mind and it does NOT look good. It's not giving femdom, it's giving greasy old man vibes
Anyways, think I might drop.

Why did the dean explicitly ignore his request to have the T.A not be a female just because his niece asked? And not to mention, she's clearly under underqualified for the position. Does she know anything about chemistry? She's a humanities major.
So what if she's humble and quiet and never asks him for favours? What does that have to do with this? I'm sure he could have easily found a qualified male to take the position, but he just handed it to her cuz she asked.
