Personally some of my favourite yaois have femme ukes. I'm not really into semes but, I have a few I like but I mainly lean towards liking ukes more. I like really pretty ukes/femme ukes. For semes, I also like pretty semes. I don't really like big muscles for semes or ukes, but having toned/sleeper build is fine. I don't know I've never been into the manly ukes, but I won't not read them. Pretty is preferred for both seme and uke and also for personality it's a bit of mix of everything, like I'm not extremely picky. I think if I'm reading something cute then obviously maybe a seme that has respect and manners, and of course tolerable. For ukes it's about the same. I also don't mind toxic semes or ukes.

I haven't seen a lot of yaoi with seme or ukes having buzz cuts but unfortunately if they do I have to drop it. It's a hairstyle I generally can't stand fiction and in real life. I don't care how good a bl is, I see an ugly hair cut I'm gonna have to ditch i tried giving this one manhwa a chance, I forgot the name but I think it was the seme who had blonde hair and that stupid fucking hair cut. For context, my girlfriend's aunt has a son who recently just turned 18 and she's decided to kick him out. From what I've been told, he's always been a well-behaved kid and even helped out with rent and bills when he was 16 and got his first job, which he shouldn't have had to. Kids who manage to get their first jobs should be saving at least half of that money for the future and maybe using the other half to treat themselves once in awhile. Now he's almost finished school but now that he's 18 for some stupid reason his mother had decided that because he's 18 he should now get his life together. The thing is, he doesn't have money for house or an apartment. Fuck he doesn't even have money to even stay at a hotel.
Of course my girlfriend and I are letting him stay at our place until he can get himself organised. He offered to pay some of our bills but instantly I shot it down. All we ask is that he cleans up after himself which he already did before. I just can't understand why parents would do this to their children. I don't know why she thinks he's have his life together, he's only 18 and still in school and hoping to continue on into university. Not only that but he's tried calling his mother to attempt to talk it out, but shes ignoring him. I wouldn't dream of doing this to my daughter disabled or not, I don't understand why some parents just despise their children. It's actually cruel.
No fr some parents shouldn’t have kids if they don’t want to take care of them. I mean that’s an essential part of having and raising another human being. IMO kids should be entitled to their parents care. Of course it gets to a point but just because they grow up doesn’t mean they’re not your child anymore. Same could be said for parents. Just because you’re an adult doesn’t make your parents not your parents. Ofc there could be differentiating factors, but in most cases, that’s how it is.
That’s the stereotype in the US that parents kick their kids out of the house at 18, and whoever lives at home after that age is a huge loser and some parents do live up to that stereotype, which imo is such an arbitrary idea. Most 18 year olds aren’t ready to leave home at the drop of a hat. At least give them a few months of being an adult before throwing them out.
It's funny because I don't even live in the US and this is the first time I've seen this happen. It's so unfair on this poor kid and other kid that this happens to.
I understand there are a lot of situations parents get into in regards to having kids and whether it was a choice or not, whatever the reason may be. But I still don't think it's fair to just throw your child out purely because they turned 18, at least help them with living arrangements something. A better idea would even be making a deal where they chip in a little bit here and there, teach them responsibility with money rather then throwing them out and expecting them to know what to do. In my opinion, I wouldn't charge my child anything to stay with me. As long as their respectful and don't expect me to be cleaning and cooking for them I don't care what they do. I don't know as I said there's just better ways around it. The nerve of some of these parents.
Feel like I should give some background real quick I'll try not to make it long.
So my girlfriend and I have a 6 year old daughter, though biologically she's not mine and I only met her around 5 years ago. Since then I've come to see her as my own.
I am also fully deaf, no cochlea implant or hearing aids. I only sign. My girlfriend also signs because her mother is deaf, she also had been signing around our daughter since she was born. I work from home so I can watch our daughter because she's autistic and non speaking, my girlfriend prefers to go out for work so we decided this was the plan. Anyway so I was taking a break from working and was playing with my daughter since it's the weekend and there's no school. Now I can't hear her talk obviously, but she can sign but she's never signed full sentences. Sign language does have a whole different gramma to english or any language so theres always a few words left out (like is it's) but she does often sign things like toy or play. Anyway today she had said to me, "daddy want food". I wish I recorded it. I know she understands sign language, but her signing a full thing and also telling me exactly what she wants without using hand leading or getting upset was a very big improvement. She goes to speech therapy and ot and we try getting her to use aac device. I needed to yap about this and I don't know this means so fucking much. My girlfriend is also so happy.

So I'm an adult and I work 3 days a week though from home, and spend most of time looking after my special needs daughter while mum works 5 days a week, but she works in a childcare. I'd say we're pretty good with money, but obviously we prefer to use most of it for daughters therapy's and other related appointments. I have the money to buy stories like on lezhin, renta, tappytoon etc. I do sometimes, but I also obviously use mangago and comix to read for free. I'm definitely in for supporting artist, but I can only willingly pay for something I enjoy and I also know these sites won't stay up forever (tapas being an example) and I can't just keep wasting money on said sites if I can't keep the product forever. Same with online games, I choose not to spend too much (like on hsr I'll get the express pass or monthly pass at best. Same with nikke but the 8 dollar pack). If I enjoy a story, I'll definitely go and support the author on the actual paid sites. But I haven't been doing that recently and I don't know how to feel about it. I don't exactly feel bad, but with tapas shutting down I don't really wanna be spending money knowing these other sites can randomly shut down.
You’re not the only one, especially with the idea of buying something on a website that isn’t going to stick around. I’m all in favour of supporting the artists, but not through third party hosting sites or scummy publishers.
A lot of artists, especially the mostly online ones, will have a Patreon, Ko-fi or other donation site if you look for it. These sites still take a percentage, but it’s often far less than publishing sites, and way more direct, so you could choose to donate the money for a work and then pirate it if you really felt like supporting them, lol
“If buying isn’t owning, then pirating isn’t stealing” has never rung more true in this era.
yea youre not the only one, tbf we’ve all been knowing how companies treat artists as well as how big of a commission gap they take.
support artist through their own web where they get most of the earnings like prints/merch, kofis and whatnot, and if you cant support them financially you can just support them as is, without a genuine audience that supports their work is meaningless (i mean in a way of motivation as such)
plus in todays age everything is too expensive to maintain especially if its a subscription based or a time limit expense, ever since the shift from one-time purchase to continuous expense piracy has increased exponentially #－.－)
To be honest I think if people wanna support the authors, best way to go would be ko-fi or pateron. My girlfriend doesn't read webtoons or stuff like I do but shes subscribed to paterons and I know a lot of artist use that platform. If one site is gonna shut down, it's best not to trust the others JUST in case. I still don't have anymore news about the tapas situation, I'm confused on how they're gonna be able to compensate the artist who upload their stories there. It must be so frustrating, it's not fair on anyone involved.
I think I might just stop spending as it is, unless I can find betters way to actually make sure it's gets to the artist like as you said. I could also save a bit more money now lol, I'm not poor but I'm not the rich either. A lot of my money goes to my daughter.
