Its not that shocking when the author has hinted that something is “wrong” with the little a. Not only that, I know BL are not the best when it comes to normal characters, but the amount of manipulation and possessiveness little a has shown was concerning, especially when we had only seen him act goofy/childish as if he never knew nothing was going on.
I can’t believe some people have issues with the MC and/or the ML. This story is AMAZING. The art plot is actually relevant to the story and reveals backstories and personality. People like art for a reason and this story uses it as a great tool for understanding and developing its characters. The actual omegaverse being relevant but not feeling like it’s the only reason this story is happening is refreshing. Taking a half chapter to even state that people can still like each other regardless of their secondary gender, that they are still humans at the end of the day, was a welcoming change from the overused trope of pheromones dictating all of society kinda thing. ALSO not every interactions has to be overly exaggerated to get the point across. These characters are adults in a professional setting and are aware of that fact. Still growing in subtle ways not as grand as teenagers feel when things change. I understand it’s fiction but so nice having characters actually act like adults/humans would in real life. An example of this is the MC smoking casually by himself. He is a young adult. He can be awkward and hesitant about choices that will affect where he lives, how he earns money, who he associates with, etc. that doesn’t make him wimpy or weak. I specifically liked how the MC even says he’s not naive to not know what just happened between them in chapter 26/27. Side note the sex scenes are done SO WELL. It actually surprised me. The bed talk was realistic and sensual. Both of them engaging in that sort of talk was hot. The amount of making out during it and the embracing was so GOOD and realistic. Having a bottom that actually feels like a person apart/engaging with the sex like an actual PAIR rather than just laying there. It’s natural to have someone take the lead that does NOT mean you become totally submissive because of it. Can’t wait for season 2!
Idk if you’ve read the novel but… all the points you mentioned is the reason why i dont like the novel right now. They kinda made the whole secondary gender being MOSTLY the reason why they’re so attracted to each other. I wish they focused a BIT more on the art toward the end of the novel because i thought since that was the best for the MC to communicate since he’s not good w words would make him paint more….
Wait, don’t tell me that That was one of the best aspects of this story. Either way I’m excited for the chapters coming ahead…maybe I’ll read the novel since everyone keeps recommending it.
