Yeah nah this mangaka was cooking straight xenophobia, just as it was getting interesting too. Just before ppl start calling me too woke, I want to remind you that nothing exists in a vacuum, Japanese politics are shifting further to the right + growing support for their conservative leader Takaichi, so therefore xenophobic sentiments are increasing. Not saying that we should cancel drama queen or boycott (we alr on piracy site lmao) but it just hurts to see such art go to waste, will stick around cos the story is intriguing but will forever just feel abit disappointed.
I still have hope that this manga is not xenophobic despite the speculation online, I think the MCs are just grey~evil ppl who have a messed up world view and that the mangaka is prolly gonna reveal that their perception is not the truth as the manga continues. #hopecore #lettingtheauthorcook #fermentation
