I read the comments and was hesitant to read it coz everyone was saying she gets with the guy that killed her dad but…
You guys keep forgetting that he was poisoned which essentially caused his personality to change. It happened to the fl in her first life as well. She’s acknowledged that it was due to the poison so why is everyone hating on the ml as if he had much control. It also explains that he was being manipulated from the sidelines by that old guy after he started losing his mind
Just my opinion but it honestly wasn’t as bad as the comments made it seem
EDIT: I’m not saying this justifies her trauma magically disappearing. I was trying to (somewhat) justify (? If that’s what it is) his actions because he wasn’t in control.
Trauma is definitely not something that goes away overnight nor is it something that is forgotten with time. You could be happy for years and have learned to heal but a single moment could trigger you and bring out all back.
Before anyone else attacks me, I did not mention her trauma coz it’s something that happens in real life and I didn’t want to talk about a trauma I do not have. So I only spoke about the poisoning coz something like that is very much fictional.
The reason why ppl hated this, was the fact that the fl STILL chose him after whatever happened. The "trauma" she had vanished so easily. Nobody rlly cares about the poison, cuz the fact that he was alrdy insecure about the fl, made his brainwashing so easy. She literally experienced ALL of the horrible things, yet came back to him. Was that dih so good??? I'm so confused. This story's message is literally "forgive your abuser,Grapist, and cheater husband. You don't know, maybe he was brainwashed! The power of lOvE is what matters~" And yk what made it worse?? It's the fact that she had other men who was infinitely better than that sht dude. The only reason he changed, is cuz she knew what was gonna happen.

I forgot about this series but yes it's insane. I am a big fan of forgiveness and redemption but this ending was insane. The correct way for the author to do this would be to yes, repair the relationship in this timeline and forgive the prince, but not actually end up together because even though he didn't do all the evil stuff this time and was not himself, the pain and trauma is still there and it's ridiculous to make that magically go away.
Tldr end up as friends with the Prince and marry the red head

I do agree with that. The trauma shouldn’t have magically disappeared. I just meant the comments made him seem like he himself was really that bad but technically he’s only partially a little bad (assuming so coz I can’t remember now)

Amen!! This is the main reason why this was heavily hated!! MC literally had PTSD due to trauma and with progress of story she loses it since 2nd lifetime is different from the first?? that is total BS! PTSD is triggered by paired association and her 1st life literally went into hell due to the prince and when she saw the prince.. bad flashbacks happen due to the fact that the prince is the trigger..
and somehow.. this is gone. what?? by love?? Bullshit right there!!!
Its crazy how people outright dont acknowledge he was basically groomed after his dads death on top of a drug that was strong enough to kill women that manipulated his entire personality. Was he mean, yeah because he didnt like her because he was insecure. But all the stuff that happened before was mostly the poison altering his personality and emotions.
