I feel so bad for Hydra, to wholeheartedly trust a human, something so taboo just because she wanted to be loved. Only to be betrayed by her, I really dislike bloody eye but I do understand her and everyone. The ending was so nice, it was quick sure but everyone received an ending. I'm so happy about Maria and Mary THEY MAKE ME SOO SADToT you can see just how much the both of them trusts each other and loves each other. Mary and "Mary" too, familial love is often so badly written in media, but seriously for Mary to have sacrificed everything for Bloody without bloody having realised it thus making him endlessly suicidal only for the ending to be revealed as Mary keeping him alive, he so desperately wanted Bloody to live. The author really knows how to write familial relationships im so FREKAING SAD
AND I WILL GO ON ABOUT MARIA AND MARYS RELATIONSHIP. The parallels they had with each other, wanting to both die (well Maria not really) because they blamed themselves for having been involved with a loved one's murder, only to find out in the end, that person only wanted them to live on and on. they're so different yet in the end their struggles were the same, both needed a purpose to keep going. Maria finally realising that he never wanted Mary to die, finally realising that he needed Mary despite Mary not being of any use for him was seriously the best because at the start that was all Mary was to him, he bossed him around, didn't care when he got sick. AHHHH so i'm so so so happy with the ending im genuinely so in love. Also I dunno if it's noticeable but the author also keeps making parallels between maria's grandfather and the girl he loves and maria's dad and maria's mother and maria and mary LMAO. especially in that one title panel?? you see all six of them propped up together hahahhaha like ok should've just made this shonen ai X3
I don't know how the author portrays trauma SO WELL, especially with song rik and jinhyeong excuse my little rant but their arc was the best. Both of them bonded and acted the way they did with each other because of their trauma and them both being so prideful led them to act like everything was okay and that they had a "perfect" relationship when songrik in the inside pitied, AND felt inferior to mc which obv led to the whole thing where he hurt mc so much. Both of them using their trauma against each other made me so sad AND SONGRIK IS JUST THE SADDEST. the whole reason for him "bullying" mc was because he wanted to drag him down to his level so that he had nowhere to go but stay with him, he wanted the reassurance that mc would never ever leave him like his mother did, which i assume was because he felt his mother left because he was being a bad child and causing trouble. I felt so sosososoososos sad when both of them cried like i genuinely was bawling, they're both kids and they loved each other so much they only felt like they had each other but of course circumstances did not allow for it to happen, i hope later on we'll get a side story where they meet up again because jinhyeong is doing so much better. Both characters shows that you'll always get better in life, because once you hit rock bottom, there's no way to go but UP!!!!!!!
PH YEAH AND I MENTIONED THEIR TRAUMA AS WELL CUZ, both of them did exactly what they wanted to run away from, they acted exactly like their dad. Mc by acting condescending and viewing people superficially based on their status, and songrik ofcourse by physically abusing other people. Although songrik did not do that to mc it did affect their relationship, and you can see how obviously jihyeongs behaviour affected their relationship... but again, author made them break out of that cycle, and that's what i love so much. Its realistic because yes you are not what your parents are, the apple DOES fall far from the tree dont worry.
(3)Also, I love how the author highlights their hands, and how they subtly touch each other. JUST SAYING I DONT SHIP THEM ITS PLATONIC IN MY EYES!!! But the soft touches and everything is so warm especially when you compare it to the touches their father expresses to them??? Its deliberate I think, because i felt like the author showed their hands way too much, subtly brushed up against each other, holding each other, supporting each other. It's so lovely while their fathers are pointed, condescending. and just hurtful (literally) so yeah that. was. so. sad. too.
Meru getting chubbier in the end heals me so much, she's embracing her bigger appetite and despite having struggled with eating so much it seems like she has a better relationship with food nowwww I can relate to her a lot. AND!!! FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HATES SACCHAN GUYS they weren't even dating when she freaking did it with remi so stop the hateeeeeeee sacxhan did it cuz she felt horrible about herself and the past sacchan didn't cheat!! also i love maasan hehehehhe
"Even though I know it's useless to do so. I love him. No more and no less... I couldn't help but just love him with my entire being."
SYTOP I CANT AT ALL WITH THE LAST STORY. PLEASE WHY IS THIS SENTENCE UTTERED WITH SO MUCH YEARNING. LIKE HE FINALLY ADMITTED TO HIMSELF ABOUT HIS LOVE AND HIS INABILITY TO LET GO UGHHH.
just the context this moment has makes this sentence so much more meaningful even though its an overused sentence too, he says it with so much love.

HES ALREADY FALLEN HARD IM SO HAPPY HE DIDNT STAY ARROGANT THRUOUT HAHHAHAHAHHH (=・ω・=)
