At first they only showed songbird as someone having grey hair and maybe glasses and I was so afraid and devastated of it perhaps being the asshole father. They were kinda leading up to it too, with the brother sleeping over lots of times in his vacation home and the daughter knowing him well. BUT ALAS
I was even getting prepared for some sob story for the father to make him at least a bit likable but no he won't get any happiness, that fcking child abuser, and I feel at peace. I'd love it so much if there was some future big plot twist how the eclipse family is actually kind of right and the royals are the bad ones exploiting their position: How the prince is nothing but an idealistic fool in their eyes (monarchy to democracy Speedrun ain't that easy), his father the king at the mercy of a much younger less influential woman, seemingly not caring about his family or country at all. The eclipse family has their roots in medicine and saw their saved patients being killed, traumatized and mutilated by war. The other corrupt nobles doing nothing but further sending the citizens to their death to line their pockets and alleviate their positions.
They would be a selfless family, that used their everything (each daughter and son) to change the corrupt upper classes. One that doesn't want a revolution by the citizens or some prince, but wants a safe and healthy country led by the competent few

Prolly ain't happening tho, cause the prince can't be the bad boy in that sense, she still has to get together with him after all -as dictated by the romance genre (〜￣△￣)〜
