you can read it directly on webtoon
I realize how manga is more advance compared to manhua and manhwas. Manga can cover most genre whether it's sport, romance, action, or anything at all with clear detail and movement (its not moving but you can see it moving (?)) Idk it's just fascinating to me how flexible manga artists are.
What I meant by moving is that when I think back about the story it doesn't pop up in my brain as panel it moves like an actual real life situation. Altho its the same with manhua and manhwa stories, you rarely see a sport manhwa in fact I've never seen one? Only sport I've seen was martial arts. The speech are also fascinating to think about because they have their own voices in my head. Its not my voice reading the text but their own voices. I honestly don't know if I'm making any sense I can be a nerd sometimes when it comes to graphic novels (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
You're not crazy, I think it's because with manga you have to be creative with the paneling and the space limitation, so you can choose between simple paneling (all squares), or more dynamic (more varied shapes like trapezoids or size variance). You can also choose, for example, to have only 1-2 panels in a page if you want to emphasize something.
With webtoons/manhwas, paneling isn't so much an issue as the completeness of the drawing. Every panel has to be rendered (lineart, color, shading, highlight, effects) and the aesthetic is much more emphasized. The story/narration sometimes has to take a back seat to give the art the space and attention it deserves, so it might result in simplified/shortened action/fight scenes compared to manga.
About sport manhwa–I think it's just the result of market difference btw Japan and Korea. In Japan, you have these monthly magazines with segmented demography (shounen has Jump or Gfantasy, shoujo has Ciao, Betsuma and so on). In Korea, it's a bit blurry because they're all in one platform (eg Naver, Kakao etc) and thus the genre isn't as important as it is the story. Sport is a genre more popular in Japan for example, but Korea has more idol/entertainment stories.
