The novel author tends to write dumb MCs, but in a oblivious to social cues or academic dumb. I find it hard to believe it's the same author, like the other MCs they've written are badasses that take s* from no one. I tried reading the novel but I was insanely mad at Ariel for putting himself in dangerous situations for no good reason, it was so exhasperating
