This next arc is gonna be phenomenal, cause she’s now pushing him away. She said you wanna be friends now you don’t get a say in what I do. Let’s go. He’s about to realize what being friends means and how they were clearly never friends.
He’s still young both of them are. We’ve also seen his mother and brothers but not his dad. I do wonder if watching his dad go through whatever was implied this chapter and the strength is mother had perhaps scared him. I’m not saying it’s not foolish, given he was up in her guts (TN & PN were wildin these chapters lol) I just think it might give context to why he’s scared.

im excited to see the results of this cause with all his acting he doesn’t have any vocal or rhythm which i assume would make action scenes or idol performances (in acting) difficult. i wonder how he’ll overcome this?
once again i’m gonna explain the levels of nuance of abuse or toxic relationships. her mother and aunt showed they stayed in their relationship out of habits or wishing of an alternative but fear of leaving what they know. it’s not childish that our girl doesn’t wanna leave, remember he said to her in this chapter:
“are you calmed down” minimizing her feelings or why she’s arguing for their relationship.
“you can’t live without me” trivializing her to being inept without him while also implying she’s no one without their relationship. remember they’ve dated the entirety of her twenties a time that you’d usually need to find yourself.
just with those two statements you can see this relationship is made to make him feel more important despite the fact that we’ve heard from others she’s the more important one of their working relationship. even implying without her he might not have been as successful. we’ve already heard from her ex’s mouth that he doesn’t prioritize her given his excuse to not go get her cause it was raining.
she knows, that’s why her aunt said if you don’t wanna be in the same relationships as her mother and her she gotta leave him. at some point even waste water becomes sweet implying of course you remember the good, but that doesn’t change it’s bad. it’s always been bad. she’s not childish she’s scared. look at what he did when he saw her, he didn’t apologize. abusive and toxic relationships aren’t always simple of a “leave them” despite what we see in fiction.
