Man,,,, I've always disliked the secret 'I was always your past lover/ first love' trope because it cheapens all of the development. Yes, even if they're 'technically different people', it's just not as compelling when a heart wrenching unrequited love gets recycled as another fated pair bs

It's a waste when the isekai/reincarnation/etc. don't make the original body and its relationships a more impactful part of the story. For me that's the most interesting part of those tropes, especially since this one reincarnated into a full-fledged person with its own history, not a child. The stakes just feel so low and so bland when they already know it's him, and nothing of the original body adds some spice. It feels like this story still could've happened even without the body switch
the first creator note gave me hope we will learn something about the og body but nothing so far…
I feel like the body switch has an impact on the story here that we will find out later on (just my supposition)
