ngl for me my reasoning being why I like BL is bc the whole BL genre itself (to me) feels like an "secret or forbidden" romance (more so than a straight couple) bc historically homosexual relationship were sooo heavenly looked down upon being either shamed, abused, ridiculed, and socially outcasted.
