Try reading this one, cause it’s the only manhwa I haven’t read yet that actually has many chapters and decent art. Even though the story feels rushed, i continue until the part where he kills his father’s son and then just leaves it as it is. They never show his family, his mother, or anything else. What’s the difference between him and his father? What’s the purpose of him becoming strong in the first place?
I like this manhwa because it is the only one I have read where the MC actually becomes the Murim Alliance Leader. It feels like he is starting a whole new era. The story also feels bigger since it involves all of Murim, not just small fights between sects or disciples. And even though it follows the classic setup where the Righteous side is good and the Demonic side is evil, it actually feels unique because you hardly see that kind of straightforward storyline anymore.

Currently at chapter 38 and honestly it feels like such a waste of good artwork on this kind of storyline because the plot really comes across like something the author thought up while daydreaming in the shower. Maybe it is just me but the way they keep calling the main character by his full name, von this and von that, feels so cringe and distracting. I thought things would get better if I pushed past chapter 8 but Tania was already annoying back then and she still is now. Almost every overpowered character is female, even the dean, which feels unbalanced and repetitive. The story also says the royals monopolize mana training and that he would face consequences if they found out he learned it before school, yet he uses it openly during the exam while the instructor is right there watching. On top of that the horse has barely done anything and I keep wondering when I will finally see it in action because right now it just seems like it was added as a temporary buff until his stamina reached 5. At this point I am only forcing myself to continue reading because there are not many other manhwa with a large number of chapters available right now.
I get that they didn’t draw a helmet on the MC so he’d be recognizable and stand out, but for god’s sake, at least give him one — it looks hilarious when every other soldier is wearing a helmet while he and his friends aren’t.
This novel’s actually pretty twisted. You might think the adoptive brother–sister thing is already bad, but just wait later the second male lead ends up paired with the ML and FL’s daughter… and the age gap is like 60 years.

Chap 47 and I still can’t bring myself to like the knight. He tried to kill her, then somehow ends up as her aide—but doesn’t even know his place.
