I went back and reread the start of the story cuz why not ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶and I’m honestly kinda surprised at how shocked she was that he wasn’t a “good” guy like he never pretended to be one or really acted like one from the start. She was always sus of him when she first met him and any situation she had with him whenever they met even when she was attracted to him. I mean she was not that naive imo. I feel like everything he did was fair especially when it came to king and prince considering politics etc those mofos was dead to rights either way, I think he originally just went to her hometown for the mines or something which he could have gotten for money possibly since they was having problems but marriage became a topic cuz he wanted her so he manipulated it (I feel like they also could have just said no but eh) so he would be able to marry her and they fell in love ╮(￣▽￣)╭ still tho he never pretended to be a good guy he was always a “bad guy” losing the child might have been the last straw for her.
