I don't know if anyone realised but Agni died on november the 28th 1889, while Snake died on december the 9th 1889. Only less than two weeks passed by in the manga since Agni's death while in real life, it's been 7 years. That's so hurtful, ngl
I do not take Wilhelm's side and I don't pity him. My point is he was always crazy to begin with. And I didn't expect him to miraculously change just because he fell madly in love. Some characters are just meant to stay rotten. Whatever he has done did not surprise me. I don't know why some people acting so shocked over his actions. Like.. he was never sane to begin with
For the FL however it's a different story. She is an awfull mother. She became the exact type of individual she despised. And post partums has nothing to do with it. Handing over her kid to Dietrich does not make her a caring mother, but a coward running away from her responsibility as a parent. Some people think she gave birth to Billoi because she did not want to blame the child for his father's misdeeds. In that case, why did she not visit him for three years? Not even once? They also say"At least she gave birth to him". What does it mean? A kid is a whole life, a whole existence. You don't chose to give birth just because you feel like it, but because you fully comprehend what that represents, and you are ready to fully commit to your kid's well being your whole life.
Reinhardt might have been a righteous being at first, but the revenge path tainted her, just as Whilhem's betrayal. And the author wanted to show us that fact through her kid and how she keeps running away and hiding from everything. Even the purest Heart can become tainted and a rotten Heart is not bound to change simply because it has Come to know love. THAT is the point of the story.
Everything is not just black on one side and pink on the other and that is what some people fail to comprehend. You can't just keep making excuses for the FL. The order came in handy. That day when she left her kid in the imperial palace, she felt relieved. She ran away from all her suffering even if it meant never seeing her kid again, because he was also part of that suffering. Despite knowing how he was going to be treated, she definitely turned her back on her flesh and blood.
