I kind of understand where ML is coming from because when I was younger I was quite a compulsive liar to my family whenever I accidentally broke something, spent too much on video gaming, etc. Gotten much better at being honest, but I do understand how lying can become a slippery slope where you keep lying to patch up all these cracks that formed from the original lie.
It's probably going to take at least 1 day if not more for fan translations to come out since there are 20 chapters out, and 3 chapters are free and 6 chapters are set as wait 3 hours to read.
