I like Claire's character actually. Perhaps its because I relate to her in so many levels. She has pride. She wont let herself get walked over. I would have preferred if she rejected the proposal. But knowing Elliot's predicament, so theres really no other choice. (To protect thy baby )
The Duke is bland af. All he is a narcissistic blank-faced closeminded ass. He wouldnt be the type of guy you'll imagine spending your life with. He disregards everyone other than his own gain really. And hello?? 5 years! How could you just leave the woman you love for that long. I understand the part its because of Claire's reaction to 'that night', but seriously? 5 years. So much time to make amends.
