The original meaning behind the hands (I believe) is like a protection the boys had used when they were younger to help them when they couldn't help themselves and becoming something like a shield. Similarly to the 'alternative' faces they see in mirrors, it's most probably the product of their trauma and abuse. Somehow the hands had literally became like a living thing, maybe more like a parasitical demon, and i guess they had become 'real' from their darkest fears - as children that being the semes parents (fear) - and as adults turning into their darkest desires, the semes desire to be fully accepted and allow the uke to fully 'understand himself and each other' (desire).

From what I understand the seme had known of the hands all along (hints from his book, and how his eyes would follow the hands, kind of saying he was a murderer ect *it was quite obvious), I think this is because he had accepted his 'other' side as a part of his own and allowing himself to give in to selfishness, something the uke had never done or had the opportunity too before meeting the seme. Once uke meets the seme and becomes more like him, becoming selfish, violent, desireful, dangerous and 'free' he had begun to notice the mirrors, faces and hands, eventually witnessing a murder. The hands would come out mostly when they were having sex, this shows the connection between desire the two had with the hands. Seme seemed to have control over hands at stages but this just further proves my point that his connection to the hands was his acceptance with the dark side of him that his trauma brought out in him and using what it had created to his advantage.

I think the hands were created by the boys in a time of fear, when they truly had nothing to protect themselves with (and if you've read the raws*** you see that in the moment the hands and faces became a thing the boys were in fear and it was complete chaos since the mirrors and faces were all yelling when they were stuck in the room by semes parents***) and later through the acceptance of semes past it became an object of desire and violence, later being spread to uke.

The hands purpose once seme was older and he was killing off his family and other people (all this leading to the writings of his book) was to find and connect with uke since that was semes literal life goal, he literally revolved his life around it like going to a good school and becoming famous. The hands were used as a means for the seme to achieve his deepest desires, creating violence and destruction in it's way (i guess what you could typically expect from something demonic?) and once an adult to keep the uke with him by killing those in his way, bringing uke closer to him (sexually...literally...ew) and to make uke more aware of his past to bring him closer.


Anyway this is just my opinion on the hands meanings throughout the main characters lifetimes ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

I've seen worse penis drawing. RSS usually did a decent to good job on redrawing. That naturally depends on the redrawer's skill. People who complain about penis on their free read are usually the annoying little girls. Complaining about them only gonna give headaches. They only deserve to be ignored.
