I remember reading this before the final updates came out and I remember I was so heartbroken with the ending but even now I still cry. The alternative timeline makes me cry just as much. Like I’m glad they’re happy in both timelines but it’s so sad knowing how they both suffered in the original timeline. I’m honestly crying while typing this

Suddenly there’s a “sad” explanation of he wasn’t sure if he would blame her for his wife’s death (which if we’re honest he already did since he literally just left her confined to one side of the palace. Idk I just hate the guy andhope she doesn’t really care for him later but who knows.
I dislike how the ML keeps letting that one guy hug him, like I know he isn’t dating ark but like I think they both have feelings for each other atm so why can’t he just push him away.
I know the letter was sent just to get the story moving but really? You couldn’t have disposed of it instead of putting it in an envelope? And then the maids just sending a letter without being told to. Idk this chapter just really annoyed me.. I’m glad to see their relationship prosper but I wish they actually got to live together. Or maybe I wish we could’ve seen a more loving scene like them just cuddling together I still really love this I agree with another comment as well about they should’ve shown us how they told their family and what would become of that

So I don’t really see why he had such hatred for her for their stepmother? Which makes me think he was just willfully ignorant. Yanno this kinda reminds me of a reddit story i listen too on yt. The post was written by by the father and he was asking for advise or was it aitah? cnt rem but its on how to reconcile with his daughter who cut ties with her whole family. Throughout the daughter's life she was abused physically and verbally by the mother and brother and that duo made sure the father (op) never find out about until recently. The reason why the secret was finally out is because the mom was in therapy or something. So op was telling us how he tried to reach out but never got any follow through. Before the no contact the daughter did try to tell op multiple times what they did and said to her but because its a 2 vs 1 situation he never believed her, and his son always covers for the mom.... I think the reason why he wanted to reconcile is because the daughter was pregnant or something and suddenly op wants to be in their lives. So yeah i honestly understand the feeling of not forgiving someone enabling the abuse for so long. In the case of that redit post OP was told about it but he choose to ignore all signs of it. Whereas in this story the comic itself didnt show whether caron had any suspicion or was told when they were younger. But yeaah he did get off very easily. And then making them chibi while talking about it, as if it wasn't a dark theme that just unfolded *eye roll* srsly i like chibi art but sometimes they just be randomly doing it yanno lol
