Won't that be plagiarism? Also, I doubt short mangas get anime adaptation. I guess anime movie does though.

yeah im pretty sure it would be!! this mangaka is a haikyu fan so basing their character designs off of kagehina was their goal so i guess they never had any intention of it getting a future movie adaption

While the colour of the hair is similar, the hairstyle itself isn't, and the characters still feel different enough to be their own. The similarities are undoubtably their, but there's enough variation to be Himekawa and Hirono not Hinata and Kageyama.
Short manga can always just get a small OVA serise rather than a full anime adaption, so length isn't a reason. Though it's still unlikely it will get an adaption done anyway, it's not impossible after all wasn't Given also based on kagehina, and that got it's own anime

I meant the design. Yes, the characters' here and on Haikyuu are completely different, but there's no denying that they look like them. Seeing that there is evidence since the author does Haikyuu doujins, there is no coincidence and I think it's plagiarism (the artstyle is different so I'm not sure). Given's characters don't look that much like them, except for Haruki (he looks so much like Asahi).

If you look at the character inspired by Kageyama in Given, the hair parts the same way, while here the style of the character hair is different, you can tell by the fringe. The one inspired by hinata also looks different by having much smoother hair.
In my opinion it's not plagiarism, it's mearly insperation. The characters aren't just copies, and the ideas behind everything seem to be the mangaka's own. Though I do agree Given's art style helps make them look more different overall.

No I don't think he died so to say...I think Yellow Dragon came for him right before he died, at his weakest point in life but also at a point where he felt comfortable leaving, a time he felt fulfilled and complete in his life
I think if he died it would have been a different story...like Yellow Dragon and ....that place...wouldn't have been such a REALITY

Go read Flaver, Love Replica or Meguro to Akino wa Kizukanai for example. It's more mature approach to the sex and it includes doing it willingly because of (conscious) lust. It's my favourite category of yaoi as well - mutual desire reflected in actions (▰˘◡˘▰)

yeah! it definitely still has room for lots of growth and I trust the author will make it worth a read. but once stories start off with toxic relationships like this, no matter how the story shifts it won’t change the fact that the painter was abused and raped repeatedly before the shift

...my point was that if they don't end up together then the story won't be using the "rape turns into love and a relationship" and the " you raped me but I love you so it's ok" trope. Wasn't that your issue? If yes then why did you say it doesn't relate when it does, why did I have to spell it out? It's such an obvious simple point. We do not know how the author will handle the story and the relationship.

Yeah it won't justify it, I am not saying that it will and I have no idea why you even felt the need to make this point. I am just saying that the "rape to love" trope doesn't have to happen and hasn't happened. However the way you spoke and what you said (e.g. past tense -"had") is as though it already did.

So rape/abuse is a “simple theme” to you? It’s not a theme nor is it “simple”? It’s illegal and traumatizing. My main point wasnt even the “rape turns into a romantic relationship”. Why was that all you took from what I was trying to say? It’s the fact that rape/abuse has become so normalized in stories like this that people like you will come at me for finding it very problematic which it is? I am in no way coming for the author and you know that yet are using them as an excuse to belittle the real topic here. You’re practically defending it at this point. You should fix your morals before even trying to talk ab this so please just end it here...

The only wrong thing that I did was that I did not realise that you went from a specific point about this manga to a general point about all manga. All I argued against was the ideas that this story has lost potential because it included a certain theme, my point being that the author did not handle the theme wrongly yet by using the "rape to love" theme.

You wanna know what the funny thing is? You don't know me. If you did then you would know that some of those things are my personal experiences. You would also know that I don't condone rape or abuse but you assumed and decided that it would be lovely to insult my morals and me as a person by twisting everything I said so that I fit into the idea you have of me.

Wanna know what my position is? I mean you did just judge my morals so I presume I should present it to you so that maybe in the future you will actually judge MY morals.
-Rape/abuse = extremely unacceptable, wrong and can have a severe psychological impact. So yes I do consider them to be serious.
-Accurate depictions of rape/abuse which show the impact they can have on an individual
are good as they can spread awareness and show people why they are wrong
-Inaccurate depictions of rape/abuse which romanticise rape are bad and shouldn't be produced e.g. "rape to love". Those are serious topics that shouldn't be taken lightly.
-People who ship the two main characters in the story are really freaking stupid, foolish and ignorant.
-And when it comes to you, I don't see you in a positive light. I really don't know if you did this on purpose or purely by accident but you either purposely twisted things to a crazy degree to spin this story of me being the "rape/abuse defending immoral" person or you just misunderstood things to a extreme degree and decided to start accusing and defining me as someone that I'm not. I hope it's the latter because then at the very least I won't consider you to be despicable human garbage, I will just consider you to be someone who I will not like. Unfortunately I find it hard to believe that it's the latter and I only wrote this down because I hope that it is because otherwise I just know that you would start going off about how I don't actually think what I think because you say so.

Frankly it's not like I even fully disagreed with you. All I argued against (in other words, all i disagreed with) was the first point you made aka the point about this manga loosing potential.

Before I read the last line of what you wrote to me I was actually writing out a response to you because back then I thought that you were actually asking me but after reading the last line I realised that those questions were most likely just statements you believed phrased as questions since clearly must know my moral character so well.

If you argue with me and start telling me how I'm wrong about what I think (not that what I think is wrong but that I actually don't think what I think), then I won't even try to be nice. With you being the person who commented on My post I don’t owe you a typed essay about all the flaws in your “argument” or to tell you how to think or having to explain myself cause at the end of the day this is the internet and I do not take internet arguments seriously especially not on a website to read free manga and most especially when it comes to such a serious topic as this.
