People want to see it because ML spent TEN YEARS chasing after MC and now MC literally threw him to the side like that ten years was nothing? Is "missing him" really just enough even though MC blatantly said to his face "We're nothing to each other yet" NOT EVEN FRIENDS, JUST NOTHING? It's justified people want MC to put in a little effort for ML when he did the same thing but for ten whole years without expecting ANYTHING in return. And he even gave away his stocks at the end because he still damn cares about MC's feelings and HIS desires over his own desires.

Sure, it was awful of him to say that, however firstly - mc was not aware ml was being serious about his feelings because of his own circumstances and traumas. He is in a position in which he could get dismissed anytime for being an omega whereas ml has the alpha platform to fall back on, hence his treading so carefuly and being insecure. Secondly - just because someone has feeings for that long does not mean something is owed. Mc and anyone is perfectly entitled to not want anything with somone who likes them, and they dont need a reason. What mc truly did wrong was dismissing even that there was a friendship or any relationship. I do not think he should be suffering more than he already has, and he is regretting. I do love chase arcs and they are important but in this context i do not think its needed and i feel people should have a bit more empathy.
