Im not one to not read due to harsh topics butttt the sad scene was so unnecessary and prior to that I did like the story but ever since that chapter, I dropped, I just saw it ended, do yall think I should pick up or was it overall not worth it at the end?

I understand the need for urgent money but the author should’ve milked it by making wholesome au’s or smth that went wit the original story, not this I fear that by adding these chapters, ppl who actually liked the story might end up not supporting the story at all now

I’ve been reading a few comments that some Americans may not really understand the concept of concubines and we automatically associate it with cheating, which at first my mind did go there, but re reading, it kinda comes off as for sure, the concubines are there for political affiliations but a question arises in me, Tei technically was also given to shuraka for a political alliance, but was he the first one offered, making him the first person shuraka became attached to or what sets him apart from the other concubines he received? Obviously I have to recognize the fact that obviously the author already has tei as the mc and that we are barely in the early stages of the story but do y’all think smth similar? Or am I reading too much into this story at the early stages? pls lmk what y’all think, I’m intrigued
