GUYS I read tgcf and now want to read this and even started to read like 20-30 pages of the book 1 but I’m not sure if I should continue bc I actually HATE misunderstandings between the couples. Sp could sm pls give me head ups of the whole story and dynamic and I don’t mind spoilers that even makes me read it even more so yeah!
Tgcf is more to like pure love, sadness, sweetness, someone loving someone for 800 years
But 2ha is more gloomy. Everything is just gloomy. Bcz it’s about misunderstanding beyond repair. (even at the end they end up together but i swear i cry for 2ha more than i cry for tgcf. I like tgcf more but 2ha is very very good too. I just gloomy. Gloomy love, gloomy sadness, gloomy happiness.
Spoiler i said misunderstanding beyond repair bcz eventually one side need to die in other timelines for another side to realize what’s wrong. I’m not good at explaining but the story is more f up than that.

Oh no I hate gloomy love…do you recommend another danmei novel which is like tgcf? Like it can be sad but not smtg like gloomy love or tooo much nerve wrecking misunderstandings between the main couple which puts them apart
I recommend all the novel from same author of tgcf. Like the classic famous “mdzs” or “Sssv”.
Others im still reading bcz most of the great danmei is still in translation process . So i don’t want to recommend what i haven’t read till the end yet.
But hey. “Silent lover/mute slave” is great too (has manhwa adaptation also). Or “han shan's sword unsheathed” or “thousand year of chenghwa”
Actually i would recommend you reading Little Mushroom... it has ongoing manhua adaptation but the novel is quite short.

GUYS don‘t be disappointed of the seme. The problem isn’t about love but rather that he’s scared that if they start dating or smtg like that the uke gets bored and leaves him so the seme thinks it’s better to have in him controlled aka standing above him than date him aka being equal to each other. Tbh the manhua is doin pretty good at adapting thus far but the novel is a different experience imo. Some more subtle things could be noticed there, like the more ambiguous parts of their relationship. Also hints of certain..future and past important “spoilerd”…other than that, og CN novel was beautifully written, words that could just send you into a heart attack or 10 minutes of hitting a pillow. I heard there’s a good eng tl so..someone back me up and find it haha. Also, I tried reading them side by side, it was awesome.
Basically read it, worth it, trust 100% (=・ω・=)
