Her mother had difficulty getting pregnant so it's probable that she may also struggle. Her father may have also been the cause for her mother not getting pregnant and mostly having miscarriages. But in the story the mother has been blamed because that's what they did back then.

That sounds like bias. But what I've said isn't biased, in the novel Maxi's mother did have trouble conceiving and she had multiple miscarriages before having Maxi. Then her mother died from trying to have more children for the duke, and he remarried to Rosetta's mother who also struggled with pregnancy I believe, who then also died.
Maxi had been through abuse for a long time. Even if after that she was healed physically using magic, but not mentally. Stress, trauma and other mental issues may affect fertility. She also have irregular period. Maybe that's why she's not pregnant yet. Even some who do not have these issues also experience difficulty to conceive
