But am I the only one who’s confused about Yooho’s gender?? He/She looks like a woman at times, and a man too. Furthermore, it seems like he has oppais?
Well, my friend. I'm afraid to be the one break it to you. But you see, men also have boobas, you know. Though in Yooho's case, it's likely more muscle than fat.
As for his gender, as of now, he seems to be male. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong and it's a plot to be touched in the future.
Tbh though, I like it that it's not obvious enough that people talk about it haha. Male or female, Yooho is effing strong and that's the important thing.

ikr. nothing has to be definite to enjoy the story. so what if the mc is male or a female? will an audience change their views upon knowing one's gender
ummm why care about gender? the story is not centred around the gender so it shouldnt be a problem to understand the plot. Datenshi
Exactly. The point is Yooho is strong. I guess people wants to know because somehow some people are strangely fixated on things like this. Just like how some people immediately bash on the girl for being a possible love interest when nothing is happening.

Lol, this is a response to those who keep saying that knowing Yooho's gender doesn't matter..
Honestly, I don’t see a problem with wondering. Unless an author has made it clear that this character is non-binary or gender fluid, it is more likely that a character would be distinctively gendered; thus, a character would have the life experiences of their gender. Because let's be real! A cis-woman's experiences are completely different from a cis-man's, even if a character is not focused on the issues of gender. I think it's completely valid for readers to try to unpack these sort of things because a character's identity and background matter to their development. I am not the sort of person to say "everyone is equally strong and equally capable" because that's just naive. Sure, gender may not be a main factor in this story, but understanding a small detail such as gender can influence our reading and understanding of a character. If you think for one second that gender doesn't matter in these stories, you are wrong because unless a character is purposefully "ungendered", they were most likely written with a "binary" gender attached to them (which allows them to either roll with the gender norms, roles, and expectations or completely fight against the gendered obstacles). Gender is important for a character and their development as much as it is for us in real life.

pretty sure in this story the gender wasnt really confirmed(?) because it did not matter much for the story to progress. do lmk how the mc being a female and a male would have changed the plot in this story till the latest chapter.

Bwahahaha, I was! Because I was curious as well! Due to my secondary education training, I tend to overanalyze and this tendency leads my peers and I to over think and find every choice from the author to be important to understanding their characters. So... I was trying to make it clear that you and others didn't have any malice in our curiosity. I didn't want to sound too angry either but... lol, I need some practice with my tone.
and this is in no way me trying to act smart. i just want to know Datenshi
Ahahaha, no, that's absolutely fine. I know you aren't trying to act smart or arrogant. Honestly, I agree with you. I don't find Yooho's gender to be important but I think it's valid for people to take note of his gender because it MIGHT play a minor role.
For example (and in general, not particularly to this story alone), female characters are often honey traps and the way of their glow-up often either accentuates feminine characteristics or defies it. However, male characters often do not use their sexuality as power (or at least in the same way as female characters). Male power often comes about in physical strength, mental achievements, political pursuits, etc. I'm not saying female characters do not show their strength through physical, mental, or political feats but part of the female experience and portrayal involves the feminine characteristics and sexuality. Females achieving physical power, mental pursuits, and political influence is often regarded to be "more powerful" because they have the disadvantages of being women. If you just look at female vs male protagonists, there are differing story telling and plot devices that are very gendered. So yes, perhaps gender doesn't matter in this particular story but I think there might be slight differing reactions if Yooho was gendered female vs male. Strong female characters are often veered as girl-crushes and an icon of feminism but male characters present different reactions.
Lol, so all in all, I just think authors have different perceptions about how women and men would react to certain situations, thus this would affect the plot. In this particular story, Yooho being or seeming to be a man would not only have people pining for him as a strong character but it allows him different options as opposed to female characters. Additionally, knowing a character's gender may not only affect the plot but the readers' perceptions about those characters (because we all have our biases for characters).
I hope I don't sound angry or preach-y or arrogant. I just wanted to validate the curious people... I totally agree with you in the fact that Yooho's gender doesn't affect the story but I think we should keep an open mind to how gender and lack of gender (being stated) can bring different reactions from readers and how gender can pave certain paths for characters and plots. Lol, maybe I'm just in the mood to overanalyze. Sorry if I don't make any sense, I'm also trying to make sense of all my thoughts about why gender is so important to people (regarding real and fictional people).
I’ve been contemplating about this...

if you have read the story the mc is referred to as "he" in the latest chapter. so its safe to assume that the mc is a male
maybe his features are androgynous so you might have been confused idk

Same thoughts but then if you search jay park tiddies we can conclude that asian men can have that much tiddies even in real life so he may be male
He's a child. He's not gonna have prominent male features until he's older.
I've been thinking that he/she doesn't have a gender. But usually he/she looks like heavenly fox to me.
