It's 2 AM and the cat is trying to convince me that it's time for breakfast. This is what happens when you stay up late reading manga.

Those of you who live in apartments know you sometimes have a bad neighbor. I miss the old neighbour who lived upstairs. Yes they practiced chords on a guitar, badly, but it wasn't very often. Probably why they were so bad at it. Then they apparently moved out and They moved in. They play music loudly, have a baby on the weekends, and I was woken up at midnight a few days ago by a bunch of people singing Happy Birthday. But it's an apartment building, the music isn't so loud it can't be ignored, the baby doesn't cry that often, and birthdays are once a year. You just have to deal with these things. Then came yesterday. The music unusually started at 9:00 AM. It played all day. And the volume kept creeping up. By noon I could understand the words and started thinking they were going to go deaf early at this rate. By 4:30 PM it was so loud it was like the speakers were playing in my room louder than I ever would have listened to it and I started wishing they were deaf so the music would stop. I am a quiet person who avoids confrontation but at 5:15 I broke. I went out on the patio, faced the direction the music was coming from, took a deep breath, and yelled as loudly as I could "Turn Down That Fucking Music!" . Then there was a short conversation with a woman speaking to a man in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish but I assume she was telling him to stop being an asshole because the next song was at the much quieter level it had started the day at. I felt rather proud of mysrlf.
Honestly I would prefer as an upstairs neighbor the person at the end of the building who practices the trumpet in the evening. It's too far away for me to hear it from here and yeah, it's a trumpet, but they don't do it for hours at a time and they are actually really, really good.

    Can't wait for the anime.

I feel you. Before I started renting, my upstairs neighbors were awful. I actually had to report them for possible domestic violence. After that, it was a lot of music blaring and jumping from one spot to another. They never walked like normal people -__- so glad to be in my house rental. Costs more but worth every penny

You know those questions that show up on the right side on manga pages? That get hundreds of answers. How do you make one? I have never been able to figure it out.

And apparently it's a secret that those who have figured out will take to their graves.

Once, I arrived at the right place by mistake. And I’ve been trying to figure out how to go back since then! Lol! ┗( T﹏T )┛

Some cats are just a trial. I moved to a really hot place where if I leave butter out so it's spreadable it sometimes actually melts. So for Christmas I got a butter boat. The thing you put the butter in rests in a larger container that you put water in so the butter is kept cool by the evaporation of the water. Our problem cat discovered the love of butter so I tied the lid on. This morning I was woken up by a crash. She had pushed the butter boat off the counter and broke it to get at the butter. If it was just a passion for butter I would be more understanding but the little bitch just likes knocking stuff off the counters when she's bored. She's deaf so loud noises have never bothered her though usually we're more careful and it's non-breakables she knocks off. It scares the shit out of the other cat though. I moved in with my brother a year ago and this is the third thing she's broken. Last time it was my favorite mug. I guess after six months we get complacent.

i get you cats are little devils that are only ever looking for things to break

    Beee January 5, 2020 8:44 pm

Cats just do that cause they’re dumb don’t let them go to those places and find ways to keep them away from them by training other wise they’re sweet

    LaughingAardvark January 6, 2020 3:39 am

I looked it up and while it is possible to train an older deaf cat (Desi is twelve) I'm not really the kind of person who is good at training animals. I tend to be trained by the cats rather than the other way around.

You’re problem ain’t gonna be fixed then but put salt around the items or every time they do something smack them not to hard or to soft or yell at them that’ll train them, it’s not abuse but if you do it like the cat mocked over some books you pick him up and smack him not to much to hurt or to soft and it’ll get them to stop eventually once they learn don’t do it near the head or stomach

Congratulate me my friends! I finally finished crocheting a baby blanket for the daughter of one of my brother's friends. I aimed for her birth but the pattern turned out to be massively more complicated than I first thought. Plus there were some periods of illness when I didn't work on it. I would have had it done in time if I had gone with a layette set (booties, sweater, and hat) but who in their right mind would give a layette set to a baby born in June? It'll be a good Christmas gift though.

Can anyone tell me how to reply to a message from someone on this site?

LaughingAardvark November 12, 2019 5:30 am

Does anyone know if there is a way to block posts and comments made by certain people so I can't see them? Trolls just make me tired.

    kamisama November 12, 2019 5:35 am

Go to their profile and there's a block option which should be located in a very obvious spot

    replay~ November 12, 2019 6:06 am

As far as I know, currently there is no such thing. The "block" option right now only blocks the person from replying or messaging you. Basically they can't interact directly with you. But you will still see all their daily activities, comments, posts etc. I know, it sucks. But better than nothing.

    LaughingAardvark November 12, 2019 8:33 am

    Thanks.

LaughingAardvark November 2, 2019 8:28 am

You've read them. The manga that have people posting "What the fuck did I just read?". After reading http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/harami_bara/ I have decided to make a list entitled just that. It's only got the one manga so far because I haven't saved most of the truly bizzare ones I've occasionally come across over the years so any recommendations would be welcome. Because sometimes you just want to read something that makes your mind grind to a halt and your eyes cross.

LaughingAardvark October 28, 2019 7:01 am

God dammit! I got logged off the site again! That's the fourth time today! It usually only happens once or twice a week.

LaughingAardvark October 26, 2019 9:05 am

After all these years I should know better than to save manga in my I want to read list. I always end up deleting them when I'm looking for something to read.
