it’s obvious that, being in a relationship, you tend to be more considerate of your SO’s feelings, trauma, triggers, etc., because that bond means there’s a project that it’s being built by the people involved, a projection to grow together too. but, if one cares at all about the other person, simultaneously there needs to be individual growth too, if not for the sake of self-love, AT LEAST for the sake of the relationship, out of the love you have for the other.

not to belittle all Garam went through, but being forced to play for 16 hours straight (or gay?), till the point of ripping your skin, without being able to eat/drink, not even go to the toilet (), is just insane. i think Compton is actually really resilient, still loving music after being subjected to that level of violence bc of it.
