I highly recommend the novel. Goes into detail, sets up the jokes very well, the worldbuilding is amazing (lots of physics and history mentioned), and the character reactions are actually somehow more expressive than the art in this manga. Like, a picture is normally 1000 words, but this time the novel's words beat the picture. I'll still read the manga because I like the novel, but for those new to this series, I recommend reading the novel. It's going to be a hidden gem you'll regret missing if you ignore this story because of the manga quality.

Is the protagonist of the game always a guy? Like if a girl plays this game in VR, would they get body dysphoria from being a boy and then get raped because the sex scene had no option to refuse Sandra? Kinda weird that you are getting programmed to not be able to move while someone is planning on doing things to you... I mean, not everyone was even a Sandra fan at the time. There were some Jessica fans. There should be a NSFW/dubcon/noncon warning somewhere about that route in the game manual or something.
So many plot holes and overused cliches and contradictions... but the dragon. Why is the dragon so damn cute???? I can't drop because of the damn adorable dragon. Basil just makes everything worth overlooking. The artist did a good job.

It's been years since I last read the novel (it was incomplete at the time and years since I read it so don't ask me for spoilers), but I remember loving the novel lore and fights so much. Absolutely epic. I hate harem romance and I admit I hate Misha in the latter arcs, but I love the characters and each perspective/story they bring. The worldbuilding, twists, and plot execution are amazing. The countless tragedies with intermixed comedy bits too. It was my first time seeing the manhwa and I find it fun though some characters did not look like how I pictured them in my head. I think it's a good adaptation though. Wish I could have found this manhwa even more years later though because I'm longing to see more.

More dungeon crawling, action-packed type of manhwa. There is more focus on getting through the floors, battling insanely powerful boss monsters and villain organizations and etc characters (what makes this novel stand out compared to many others 'of its kind' is that there is always tension from close battles and even the tragic deaths of the MC's party), and worldbuilding.
Every detail matters, even the flashbacks of the 'NPCs'. The lore bait will reappear like a giving tree. I also appreciate how other players aren't made weaker for the sake of the MC, but rather the MC has to use his strength, intellect, and experience to overcome all the other players, already powerful in-game characters and monsters, and politics thrown at him.
MC does take over his tribe and make it better like kingdom rebuilding, but it's more of a side quest and minor but necessary arc in the manhwa.

Well, last I read it a few years ago (I think the novel was somewhere in the 600s before I was busy with irl stuff), there was no nsfw at all and typically novels like these don't really include explicit details? (from my experience at least) so I think there probably won't be any in the future.
