ok im gonna say this I dont get why people are waiting days after the release. People on here cant afford to read the story on the official site, which is why we are here. is not about “we”, is more about ppl who can afford and support the official work. just like the first reply stated, is more about being polite and let ppl who have the money read it before it gets translated or “taken”, for that reason by doing so the author can get profit out of it. due to the fact that, without the support and money for the official work the author can drop the story if ppl instead choose to read it on illegal sites.
so waiting several days after the hype about the new chapter decreased and released it on illegal sites can be “one of our way to support”, by waiting and avoid fast updates
It does helps in some ways. There are people who are impatient and rushed to illegal site right after the chapter got released, but if the release is being delayed, it could raise the possibility of people to buy it legally. There might be a situation where those impatient people might be like “ahhh i really want to read it today but theres no other site than the legal one, lets just buy it.” especially if they really love the story.
Not every mangago users are full illegal readers, some of them are a mix of legal & illegal readers, like the uploaders. So yeah, it might look unnecessary to hold the chapters, but it could raise the revenue, hope this answer s bit ‘-‘)/
We do this upload after acutal upload date thing because it both supports ghe author and also doesnt cause the site to be in chaos. Like if this was uploaded like maybe an hour right after authors upload, the author is gonna notice the drop in income for that ep bc people come here for free comics. Authors already know abt this ill3gal site issue and they have the power to take the full thing down with a lawsu1t
