I feel this is a dangerous view to hold, "as long as I enjoy it who cares what they do or who they are". It matters because you are supporting the author who is a racist. Yes you may be reading on a website where the author does not get paid for your views. But you are defending him in the comments, to some degree you are okay with this. Maybe you don't agree with his views but you basically said "who cares if he's racist, his story is good". And allowing/defending the author is just as bad. Many people dropped due to not wanting to support and I will too, but while you continue to read there was never a need to defend the author. His apology does not truly reflect what he has done and it avoids true responsibility "We meant to convey an issue but it seems we caused upset, whoopsie".
