I agree. Yes he is charming and sometimes cut but totaly crazy. On description up to now his parents are normal and kind so no excuse there for his crazy behavior and abusiveness of his brother.
The only reason i can come up with for his crazy is maybe multiple kidnapings...? And i really hope the excuse is not only that he is and alpha.

The other novel Kiss Me if you can tells the story of his brother and his partner. You hear what Grayson did to him and kept doing in that. It has a manhwa too. He traumatized his brother so much that he cant have sex with anyone for years

No, that you got wrong. Chase never wanted to have sex without feelings, that has nothing to do with Grayson. That was the reason why they had problems with Chase releasing pheromones. And because he always let pheromones build up and took a lot of meds, he had problem with his ruts etc.

Here's the thing, Grayson is truly flawed. And the reason why I don't absolutely hate him, and also like him to some extent(this is purely my own opinion) is cause later on he doesn't even attempt to justify his actions in the name of 'love'.
He realizes his perception of love isn't love at all, rather it's obsession. Be it towards his siblings or Dane.
And realizing that he himself is harmful, he lets go of Dane. And one thing that is undeniable is that he is true to his promises. This is the reason why I like him.
Not that I can ever justify his actions towards Chase when Grayson himself couldn't.

At this point in the story he didn’t do any of that and he still acts like a dumbfuck so I dont understand where is this poor guy thing comes from right now

Saying "we came for the story, not the author's whole being" ignores the fact that an author's values can influence their work and the impact it has on others. People are free to enjoy a story, but they're also free to care about who they're supporting. If an author is racist, that's not some irrelevant detail that everyone has to overlook just because they wrote a good story lol

I feel this is a dangerous view to hold, "as long as I enjoy it who cares what they do or who they are". It matters because you are supporting the author who is a racist. Yes you may be reading on a website where the author does not get paid for your views. But you are defending him in the comments, to some degree you are okay with this. Maybe you don't agree with his views but you basically said "who cares if he's racist, his story is good". And allowing/defending the author is just as bad. Many people dropped due to not wanting to support and I will too, but while you continue to read there was never a need to defend the author. His apology does not truly reflect what he has done and it avoids true responsibility "We meant to convey an issue but it seems we caused upset, whoopsie". I don't want to start an argument I just want you to understand racism isn't something you get to overlook as an individual when it affects groups of people who have been throughout history systematically put down in every way possible.
