so, what I think happened is, he likes this person ilya (non robotic) and for some unknown reason ilya isn't here anymore (he's dead, moved away, doesn't even know him) and henrik works with clocks, builds robots, to impersonate this person ilya and is quite obsessive and possessive over him (he doesn't let the guest touch him, the guest either knew he built robots or wanted a boytoy for himself). and as mentioned, he's probably been building all these ilya for years, seeing how there's so many of them thrown away, deformed and filled with errors. as for the nightmares tho, as soon as ilya started feeling conscious of himself, even being a robot, he starts questioning henrik

or henrik's just batshit crazy and is fantasizing about a blond with blue eyes who works just for him.
