I’m confused as to if animal humans are a part of normal society or if they’re just part of the elites? Like why are there humans obeying them
It's all about greed for power and control just like our world. In the beginning everyone has a truce and says that they want to get along but on the inside they have the despicable urge to control and dominate one another which in the end results into war, slavery and disputes. It's a neverending cycle and the peace is only ever temporary or short lived. That's exactly what is going on between the humans and animals in this story. It's eat or be eaten.
Damn, don’t judge me but I still love Eckles- poor dude is probably going to have to die though. Literally no way to come back from attempted rebellion. A tiny part of me wishes we could’ve gone a harem route with Castro, Eckles and Winter loll
I am so with you!! Eckles originally was my favorite by far (major soft spot for pretty slave boys yearning for attention), so it’s painful to see him go down this irredeemable yandere path. I feel the story writing is exceptional as it is, and I think I’ll be satisfied with the ending we’re headed towards, but it would be nice if we at least got some alternate-universe side stories with a harem ending.
Right?! They're treated like cannon fodders to make the main leads get closer. They don't get their own lover. They can't forget the fl until the end and live alone. Just take vinter and eckles for example, both of them remain single. Don't gaf if derrick gets married or not and Reynold doesn't seem like he'll ever get married. Sigh..
Yeah like it’s actually heartbreaking… I usually have to look up spoilers for who is endgame just so I can prepare my heart ahead of time ( T﹏T ) although I have to say that this series is the best harem romance I’ve read thus far… each relationship was realistic in their complexity, each LI has his own unique charm, and Penelope’s romantic choices make total sense as all the relationships develop. It somehow managed to avoid feeling cliche despite drawing on typical tropes. This series set a new standard for me that I don’t think will be met anytime soon, so that’s yet another reason why no more harem stories for me in the near future lol
Only on chapter 186 but come on.. sure her family regret treating her so coldly and she got accepted into a good uni but why the fuck is she considering going back- she has a family here now that love her, friends, and a hunk of a boyfriend who will literally make her an empress…
I mean I get why you would think that, but just because you have the option to drop everything and run away doesnt mean that you would want to make that decision.
Despite everything, earth is her home, there are people that care for her still waiting for her to return.
If she decides to abandon her original world, that would make her a coward who ran away from her problems, and we all know that she doesnt run.
Also I feel the need to preface that if I sound like a dick I dont mean it lol, I just type like one.
Idk man sometimes the right answer is taking a step back and starting over. She literally got stomach cancer and malnutrition from the stress of her previous life on earth- that’s no way to live. You shouldn’t stick at something because you’ve invested a lot of time into it, sunk cost fallacy and all that- plus it’s nice that her family deep down seem to love her and regret their actions but does that negate the real abuse she suffered ? No. Ultimately they were toxic and abusive. You could say that about her family here as well though tbf so there’s no clear answer but I know what I’d choose.
Yeah but she the new world she is in isn't all that good either. Everything is different, people she doesn't know and different laws, plus the story wanting to kill her. She's been on edge the whole time just trying to survive, she is being played with in this game, yeah there have been good moments and people but sometimes the bad outweighs the good, even for just a second. At least in her past life she was more familiar with the world even if she was suffering there too.
This is like, the reason people who could time travel to the past don’t. Penny is lucky to be upper class, but with everything happening she could end up in a much worse situation than being poor in Korea. Additionally, recall she got sent here like right when she finally got her independence. She wasn’t trying to go back to her family, she was trying to go back to her independent life that she was just starting at the school of her dreams and living alone. THEN she finds out the family’s perspective, but it’s too late because she’s in too deep in the game world

Idk what’s changed but this ending really feels like it’s dragging - I used to look forward to updates and now I kinda just hope that it wraps up soon.
