That may be so, but no one should make that decision for you or decree it like law. His words were "I can't let you do that." Besides, in the US most new parents have to go back to work within 3 months of giving birth - some even sooner if they don't have the means.
Yup, yup, you're totally right, and not only that, the way he was saying it and the fact that he wanted to distract him by offering a nice little vacation sounds more like a manipulation from a controller lover than a concerned father. Just the way he ended up saying yes to the uke was sketchy at best, he didn't see the reasoning behind it or because he wanted his partner to accomplish something he wanted and that would prepare him better for society, he did it because uke-kun got really determine and not willing to accept any more bs, that "we always do what you want" revealed a lot more than what was probably intended.
To be honest, I feel very badly for hye-sung. Just thing about his predicament - he for his entire life thought he was an alpha, all of the sudden felt the omega heat - and was immediately whisked away by an alpha. Then not only is he raped (even with the pheramone reaction, it was rape), but he's then forced to have his rapists child, tries to get away, and still ends up being caught by his rapist again. I think Dabi's scars might come from overusing his quirk as a child. His fire might manifest from eyes and mouth in the same way Endeavor has fire eyebrows and mustache. But as a kid with his inability to control it during the grueling training his dad probably put him through it might have torn apart his face and arms. After which his dad abandoned him (as he did with his other children) and moved on to make another child with Rei. Thus causing Dabi to lash out, drop his name, and lose faith in his family. But thats just my theory (⊙…⊙ )
