I think in this story that the fl goes back in time, which is a time before the supposed ml did the bad thing I kind of think the ml deserve a chance because as far as I can see the ml likes her now, however that doesn't erase the trauma she has faced before so if I was her I will probably just divorce the husband and kind of heal instead of jumping to revenge immediately. Something I always think of about fls that go back in time is that what happens next after the revenge? getting revenge doesn't mean that they are suddenly healed neither does them being married and having children (I hate this type of ending the most) suddenly heal them. Honestly I would love to read a manhwa that deals with the fl dealing with the trauma.
I really tried to read this but that first chapter leaves a bad taste Wdym ‘their temperament is close to that of an animal’ and the stories about them too, it’s literally the way black people are treated in the real world
That's the point. Seeing the beauty in the people considered inferior by the estians. Calling them animals and barbarians because of their darker skin and different lifestyle.
Fearing them due to their physical strenght and enslaving them, refusing to see the absolute beauty that is the kurkan culture. This novel isn't bragging about racism but showing how dumb it is
But the way it’s written doesn’t really portray it like that, instead it just dehumanises the kurkan people and others them making it seem like they are another species, the fmc also believes it so it doesn’t work that way in this case
Exactly! I noticed it too and it's a shame on the Estians really.
In the novel they are literally created by the Gypsies who used magic to mix people and animals to make an army. That's where the basis of the belief comes from. Ishakan is part wolf
Which is literally also racism in a way and also I have t read the novel I am currently reading the manwha so that’s what concerns me. Also they are called Roma people
Not everyone is aware of the racist connotations of the word "Gypsy". I wasn't aware of it until 3 years ago. I'm not defending anything, I'm just saying. It's a shame that this trope is used in a lot of webtoons.
While reading the novel I could always feel the love Leah felt for the kurkan culture, especially when she goes to live in the desert, thus I never considered the author's work racist
Yeah I didn't either. In all the languages that I know I never heard someone call the Romas, always gypsies
