People who keep saying that it's racist need to think of it as a perspective of if it was in real life, she's pale, wearing a dark foundation would not look good on her, this counts same for the other way round for example me (I'm black) if I would wear white or really light foundation or even a foundation that's not my shade it would look ugly af, obviously it's more difficult to portray that ugliness in the manhwa, I mean just try bringing her into real life she wouldn't look tan (don't forget she's wearing make up it's not her skin tone) she would look like a clown, I mean even the wrong shade makes me look like a witch

Yes it also seems the people aren't seeing all this nobles who don't do labor under the sun are fair skin too, as well as the high servant we see so OBVIOUSLY the only association they would have with a TAN skin would be a heavy worker or a far away country who probably doesn't have the gods bloodline they value (maybe other gods but not THEIR gods)
And of course any kind of skin damage was always considered ugly this includes pimples and freckles (the "freckles are cute "thing is very recent, most of the 30+ people alive today hate/hide their freckles) people are so hypocrite cuz I am sure they defend whorever is the beauty standards in their country with teeth and claws they didn't even mention that the most unreasonable thing here is a noble beauty standards being a skinny and undeveloped figure (small figure in all senses) but apparently the lupus God lover was on the skinny and petite side so makes sense if is for that (if they "value" younger girls too)
