I had a huge hunch he immediately knew whats up when he was suspicious of the junior of Lieutenant but it's incredible to know that he was on edge because of the fear that he might not take his hand. I don't think he's testing him or anything I think if Lieutenant said no to his offer he'll compromise because he's deeply in love with him. It kind of reminded me of the scene in REUNION manhwa— when the top learned about the bottom being a boy and not a girl and instead of reacting he was just afraid that whatever they have will stop. His fear was not out of what he learn but the consequences. based on this chapter alone I can tell that Tsuzumi-chan has more walls up than she lets on and compared to Subaru I can feel that her little sister's history affected her more than Subaru herself especially with the reaction she made by the "boys" being mentioned. It's a good comparison to make with her dad because even though he's also shocked by the ironically "good" news and was uneasy about it, he was compromising his feelings for Subaru's sake (it's probably the first time she was this outspoken in front of them) but I know it's a different case from one sibling to another. That's most likely why Tsuzumi is also very close with Kaoruko (heck even with her family) she most definitely felt responsible for what happened and Kaoruko was her little sister's saving grace. I can feel where the narrative is heading. I like this though!! overcoming traumas are one thing for those who experienced it but also another thing for someone who was able to witness it unfold and I mean every little thing, Subaru's struggles—her cries for help, her fear, and her hopelessness. I bet that Tsuzumi absorbed those either positively or negatively.

was it ever mentioned before that Ian came from a poor family dhfkdjksjdks I always thought he was sorta rich, only bullied cause he migrated from Canada to Korea (￣∇￣") I mean not to side with Ian or anything but I'm getting the picture now why he's overly competitive dude friggin needed it to ease the burden of his family. As for Eunsan, he was after his father's validation so the pressure was doubled but now that he introduced someone who will be the prodigy of Korea's ice hockey I just know it rlly mess his head up
I love that Upi-nim ultimately wrote them in mind that their "love story" was only second to their own respective hardships and how it wasn't linear in a sense that they both were raised in a family so different—both with privilege and without and that getting together may have been impossible if one indulged into self-pitying and choosing the easy way out (Seoan abiding to his father's request and Wowoon letting his self-loathing consume him). The ending might be underwhelming maybe lackluster but it's true. It's a great reminder that this was how "their" story began; We may have nothing good today but there will always be tomorrow. It isn't promised but now that they have the assurance of each other they have something to look forward to every day.

I really like that Taeyoung isn't a MAJOR asshole, he's a curious kid and he shows respect when needed be. Exhibit 1: when Jinwoo was so tired he mistakenly forgot the carabiner for light (Taeyoung paid for it but he didn't let Jinwoo know) and yes I know that he's keeping the end of his bargain but still. Exhibit 2: the recent chapter where he questioned Jinwoo why he didn't want to come home, he didn't sound like he was prying, he genuinely asks out of concern. Also, they got into Daejeon? at night too mind you. Pretty sure somewhere along their conversation Jinwoo was convinced to pay a visit to his mom because of Taeyong otherwise I don't think his heart wants him to go.
p.s. in Exhibit 2 he almost got mad too but he didn't force himself to Jinwoo
Ngl, I'm really looking forward to Taeyoung's backstory, he looks like a son from his dad's third party or sumn cause he look nothing like the mom or his older brother. Plus this acting thing? I really believe that he doesn't like doing it cause it might be his dad imposing it for him to do since he has the talent and all (just because you have a talent doesn't mean you want to do it) but maybe Jinwoo could change that perspective?
