can someone explain Esper x guide trope to me
Espers are really strong, so when they overuse their power it makes them unstable physically and mentally (kind of like an overheating machine), that where a guide comes in. Depending on the compatibility percentage between guides and espers, guides help espers keep their powers under control and stay sane.
If their compatibility is high, they guide's power work better .
You can kind of see espers as a crazy dog and guides as the owner. To put it simply, only guides can control the unsatble power of espers.
Espers are people that have superpowers. Those powers can be anything with elemental as the most common and mental as less. The higher the rank, the more powerful the power (usually from the lowest being E to the highest being S). However, using those powers can have negative consequences on them because of energy build up, depletion, etc. (depending on the universe).
Guides are the people Espers go to to have their energy cleared away, supplemented, etc. They do so through physical contact (hand holding, kisses, etc). Like Espers, the higher the rank, the higher the power. They don't have the same consequences as the Espers, but a lot of the time, if they want more efficiency in dealing with the energy, they have to perform more intense physical acts.

I don’t know where this genre originated from but from what I gather, espers are “awakened” humans that have unique powers, however with those powers comes the risk of becoming corrupt and going wild/ballistic (from overusing their powers). That’s where the guides come in (also awakened humans) they help by maintaining the flow of energy within an esper and can calm them before they go corrupt. An ester needs a guide or else they can go insane basically :D I think that kinda sums it up

It’s really good. Basically this emotionless girl joins a letter writing company and learns to write letters that capture emotions. She was a kid on the streets who was “adopted” and used as a military weapon because she was rlly powerful. She ended up killing lots of people until a captain in the military found her and felt bad so he would talk to her and take her to festivals and treat her like a normal person instead of a weapon. He died in battle and as he was dying he told her “I love you.” As she’s learning to write these letters and started to not become emotionless anymore she’s starting to realize the weight of what he said to and she’s starting to realize she loves him too which just makes the fact that he’s dead even worse. So yeah

i dont remember exactly but the ml was a cross dresser and he was really beefy and even though people judged him he didnt pay any atttention and the mc was a manager of a brand idk if its correct and they met when they were working
