Sorry but I wanted him to be with Chika. It feels so sad that he didn't spare Chika any chance while he was very emotional with masato. I was hoping he would realize the importance of Chika. Chika gave him up knowing he will never come to love him and that is so sad. Chika hid his sadness with a smile.
I knew Kurose was hanging onto some past that made him go after Shirotani. I feel like Shirotani was making a progress but despite the fact that Kurose says he loves Shirotani a part of him lingers in the past. I was thinking that maybe upon meeting the author again he would have doubts about his feelings and be torn.
Basically, I personally think that Kurose is making Shirotani as replacement for the author. That's why I think it would be better if they have a little bit of closure ti settle his feelings.
Just a thought. Please don't hate me. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
At first I thought so too (when they first showed the author guy) but after reading the rest I don't think so anymore. He actually fell in love with Shirotani for who he is, he said so himself. Because he first approached Shirotani because he was mysophobic to try to cure him but then he started seeing him for who he was and fell in love. Also, when he found the author again, he actually just said some words to him and left. Being able to do that means he's moved on. If he still had lingering feelings for the author he'd let the author know who he was and hope for them to regain contact with each other. That wasn't the case. I think it was resolved pretty well.
honestly I'm not sure what kind of lingering feelings you were referring to, but personally I don't think Kurose has that kind of deep affection (though I won't say he doesn't have an affection at all to the author) or romantic feelings for him. He was just someone who wants to feel important and needed. But then, things happened and he thought the author killed himself. He was burdened by guilt. Not because of affection. He was trying to find a way so that he can make amend to what he has done in the past. He was haunted by that feeling and his way of coping with it is by finding someone like the author and do the right thing. When they met again years later, after the author has been cured from mysophobia, I think his feelings for him do get a closure. He is freed from his guilt and what's more, the author confessed, word by word, saying that Kurose is the reason why he wanted to be cured. Yes, he was important to him and instead of making the situation worst it was actually the opposite. Kurose motivated him to work on his mysophobia. I think his story is pretty straight forward. So that's why I've never felt like what he felt for Shirotani is some sort of replacement. He must have really fallen in love while approaching him for a diff reason.
My heart just stopped there.. and until I get an update it ain't beating. Please tell me it's not falling into Maya cheating with Ruka. I'm crying. Im crying just imagining it. noooooooooooooooo!!! not my maya!!!

Nah, he won't cheat but there will be a lot of drama in the next chapter. I looked at the raws and it seems that Ruka will tell Nemu that Maya stayed the whole night at his place and Nemu remembers that Maya avoided his Question where he was with a kiss and Nemu freakes out, starts crying and confronts Maya...
This'll probably be better than raws you can't read: http://nijiniji-nikubou-scans.tumblr.com/post/170320987697/about-hidoku-v8c2-spoilers-guys-i-just
